Game #25 | Lakers @ Cavs | Dec. 6, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was at the game. LBJ was very well received, for the most part. The Cavs featured some Championship highlights, and gave him a nice introduction.
LBJ played well in spurts. But he's not the game changer he used to be.
At least not tonight.

People keep harping on the need of a "legit" wing and I'll just keep saying it: The resources are more than limited, they're almost zero (assuming you aren't trading Allen or Garland or something).

Come to grips with that however you guys wish.

But continuing to type "Koby needs to get us a tall, athletic wing who can shoot!" just isn't gonna make that a possibility.

SCrap heap guys (like Duncan Robinson) are where you have to look.

My guess is they probably want to see Kevin Love with Rubio before deciding they have to unload him but that's cutting it close imo. His contract is our best shot at getting someone that isn't a total reclamation project.

I don't know who that someone might be, so don't ask.

Mavs badly need ball handling.

BTW was anybody at the game?? How was the reception for LBJ?
It was pretty loud. Both in the pregame warmups and the tribute video. But during the actual game there didn’t seem to be that many people cheering for the Lakers/LeBron.

Cavs win because of a ridiculous performance by Don Mitchell. Constant theme.

Cavs are not playing well as a team because of their awful coach. Constant theme.

So Diakite is now out of the rotation.. okay JBB. Makes total sense when you still have Stevens in there starting lineup.

A lot of things to improve on if they want to reach their destination.

A game I will be watching the replay of soon.. yay

Well that's kind of what superstars do. Look at Milwaukee and Boston. Giannis and Tatum are putting up ridiculous numbers lately, but what Mitchell is doing is nowhere near what Luka has to do every night in Dallas or what LeBron had to do here in his first stint. We got guys that can do their thing without Mitchell there to hold their hand. So I'm not concerned about that.

"[Anthony Davis'] temperature was 101 and some change. A.D. wanted to try to play, but he felt too weak. He’s drained and dehydrated."

I just hope he didn't infect Mobley, who was guarding him, or any of our other starters before he took himself out with flu-like symptoms.

There should be a league rule that if your temperature is over 100 and you're having flu-like symptoms you aren't allowed to "try and play". Have some consideration for your fellow professionals on the other team, not to mention your own teammates.

If I were the Cavs' GM and one of the players had a temp of 101 with worsening symptoms all day, I would quarantine him from the team. I can't believe the Lakers let him go out there.

JA is going to get it in his first game back isn't he?

In person, Garland’s isolation extended dribble sessions while running down the shot clock feel even worse. He had a decent game overall, but he can be so much better. It feels like he’ll make pretty decisive choices out there, use the PnR well, and set up teammates the 1st quarter. But then as the game goes on, he just tries to shake people to set himself up for jumpers while forgetting he’s an elite playmaker.
agree. I hope we can dig deeper into DG play ….DM adjust, eye injury, contract………
