Game 25 | New Jersey @ Cleveland | December 15, 2009 | 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because it's not unnecessary or excessive.

I'd add that it doesn't put LeBron in danger, but by saying that I'm doing the same thing you are by stepping outside the NBA definition. I guess the NBA refs think a blow to the head/neck is unnecessary but a hug isn't.

first its clearly excessive any foul that doesnt enable someone like lebron to get a shot off is going to be excessive. if it was boobie gibson or mo williams thats a different story.

however as I mentioned earlier I would rather it be called an intentional foul

Although it probably wasn't malicious (and it has to be in order for it to be a flagrant) it was still a good idea to get him out of the game. Shaq would've probably killed Harris if he stayed in the game. Could be more of a precaution than anything else.

Does anybody else think we should start playing Shaq more minutes as a means of getting him in better shape quicker?

Nahhhhhh

I really don't give a freak about the regular season. 66 wins doesn't mean jack.

Give me a rested Diesel for the postseason.

Damn, Shaq and Z had identical stat lines tonight...

Got damn just saw the highlights on tv, and not gonna read through all the replies here so I'll just ask.

Was that Lebron who tackled Harris into the post? Not tackled but you know what I mean. Harris musta been fucking scared.

Yea, but i actually felt bad for Harris lol. It looked like after the foul he looked down to Moon and was actually gonna reach his hand out to see if he was okay but Lebron got to him too fast. I guess i only felt bad because Harris never struck me as a dirty player. The funny part was when Simmons tried to come to Devin's rescue and Shaq yoked him up lol.

Courtney Lee = SPECIAL

That was by far the funniest overreaction out of the eastern conference finals. A guy that was often the fifth offensive option of the floor impressing when he was left wide open, sending Cavaliers fans into a frenzy wondering why the team didn't draft him. Nice to see him putting up 8 points in 42 minutes on sub-25% shooting as the third option.

And while he wouldn't be the third option on this Cavs team, we all know he would be standing in the corner or on the wing like Anthony Parker. 0-5 from three tonight? Yeah, we would all hate him.

This is going to sounds stupid, but do you remember how last year we would always lead on teams and they would adjust to us in the 2nd half. Is that what is going on here? We are using the first half to figure out a teams moves and then we lock down on them? Brook Lopez only scored 2 in the 2nd half. His rebounding was still great, but I found that interesting. In the second half they didn't have any new moves. It seems like that is a Celtic Strategy. They sort of encourage you to score in a lot of different ways, and then take away your strongest move. Just a thought because it seemed like we were better at no fouling too.

Doesn't sound stupid to me.

Since that awful second half in Memphis, the Cavaliers have allowed only 41.3 points per second half in the three games since (51.0 points per first half in the last 3 games). I'd say cutting a team's points by 10/half from the first to the second half is a testament to halftime adjustments. Furthermore, the Cavs are averaging 53.0 points per second half over these three games, outscoring their opponent by an average of 11.7 points per second half.

There's no doubt that the team is sitting down at half and discussing what they need to do to stop the opponent's offense while exploiting their defense. The question is: How long will they keep it up?

Also, don't look now but the Cavs have won three straight third quarters.

Right. I used to think that the 3rd quarters were so bad because we kept trying to do the same things that were working in the 1st half. Then the other team would have adjusted and we couldn't score anymore. We have been seeing a lot more Jamario and Delonte in 2nd halves, and more small ball. It means that the other team isn't always prepared to guard us. I think it can hurt you sometimes too, but for the most part we seem to be our game in the 2nd, and theirs in the 1st half. It is cool to me, I just want the intensity to pick up.

Got this photo from a Windy tweet - pretty cool snapshot.
