Game 3 | Cavs @ Hornets Nov. 1st, 8:00PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I would really like to see the Hornets at full strength to be honest... The Cavs need to be tested, and need to gauge themselves against the upper class...

I agree, Pip. The harder the competition, the sooner this team can gel and play the way they need to in order to get to a championship level. This team needs challenged from the get go. That's when LBJ performs his best.

We have Dallas at Dallas straight after. Thats a tough early stretch. Any chance to cheat our way to a win at this stage of the season, i'll take it.

Dammit, now if we win PIP has another excuse to complain about something... :chuckles:

CP3 will be ready..

Keys from Hornets last game: (against Pheonix)

13-24 from 3pt land.
Hornets 10 TO Suns 24 TO

Close out on shooters and limit our turnovers and we should be very close to pulling this out especially if they are missing some key players.

Chris Pauls penetration leads to open looks from kick outs. West, Peja, Mo Pete, Butler and Posey take advantage of this. Thankfully Peja will probably sit, and their rebounding center, Chandler is in doubt. You gotta kickem when their down.

This is a game to steal while fate smiles on us, its a west conference road game every win is vital. At least we have 3 players who can possilby match up against paul, although he is stronger than all of them.

Wow 24 turnovers for pheonix is huge

Im excited because this will be a real good test for us. This will really show where we are at......as for that key of the game for lebron to be more of a distributor than scorer.......I say lebron needs to be more aggresive scoring this game because he always will pass but he needs to drive and open things up. I honestly hope Tyson Chandler plays or this game wont mean a thing to me.

As should Chris Paul with Mo Williams

Honestly i think the Hornets are a tad bit overrated. We'll see

I thought so too but they have done very well in their first two games. They can knock down shots with alarming consistency from the field and CP3 is CP3.

Very scary game, and a very early and tough road test. If we lose a close game, I won't get too upset, but I think we can definately win. Can't have a rough 3rd Q though...we won't be alive long enough to regret it if we do. We did well against the Western Conference last year so the 'West is so much better than the East' factor isn't really what scares me.

We need to go out there, play our gritty playoff-style basketball, and we should be able to beat the Hornets. Easier said than done. Nobody said it'll be easy though...

Their secondary logo is a ****in' masterpiece though.

I agree, that thing is f'n sweet! I hadn't seen that till this thread.

They also had this logo:

...but decided to go with the more symetrical one.

i hope peja plays, he would be guarding lebron and well...we'll see how that turns out

This is a great test for this team. To compete with the Celtics for the best record we are gonna have to develop into a good road team.

Gibson in the past has had a tendency to struggle with his shot on the road sometimes, so him putting together another strong performance off the bench would be huge. The Mo vs CP3 matchup should be real interesting as well. Honestly I could see Paul abusing us because he is alot stronger than any of our guards and is ridiculous at getting into the paint.

I like the matchups at PF for us. David West is good (Xavier guy..) but Big Ben and AV should be able to play him well. If Chandler is out Z should have the advantage against Hilton Armstrong and Melvin Ely.

Biggest keys will be staying home on their shooters, and keeping the ball moving on offense. More LBJ & Mo pick and roll, and 2-man game with Boobie and Mo coming off screens would be nice too.
