Game 30 | Cleveland @ Sacramento | December 23, 2009 | 10:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mo needs to have green light to just shoot whenever it feels good. Z needs to be under the basket at least to start the game. Shaq needs to not foul.

Good game tonight
Mo played very well till the last 2 minutes. While everyone was complaining about Lebron's jumpers we ran two plays that got Mo wide open looks and he bricked both. He's usually pretty clutch though but I thought the Cavs did a good job getting him open at least

Any info on why Delonte didn't play as much down the stretch, or was it more of a case of AP doing the job? (I just worry about these things)

IMO, AP was just playing better and MB just wanted to keep the players who were playing well on in the final few minutes of regulation and OT. Hence why Shaq wasn't on a Z stayed

I think it was because Westphal threw a lot of size out there and MB wanted to match-up with that, especially for rebounding purposes. Udrih was the only "small" and that's who we put Mo on...and Cassipi is good, but not explosive enough to make AP look foolish, plus his shot release works better against smaller guys like Delonte.

Plus, AP was playing really well and it seemed like spreading the floor was a priority, and Delonte's three-ball isn't quite there yet.

Thanks for the info.

It's good in the long-term for AP to get some of these crunch-time minutes for so many reasons.

That Kings team is big (and ridiculously young).

Yeah, definitely like Parker coming through in important moments for us.

Lest year when we needed some length on the perimeter for defensive purposes, we had Sasha Pavlovic as our only option. This year we have Moon and Parker(who have both been big for us in certain games). I feel a lot more at ease nowadays knowing I won't see Sasha pulling off his warm-ups with that blank stare on his face ready to check into the game:chuckles:

Sigh this was another game where a healthy Moon would have been nice. Evans was destroying Parker and was too strong for Delonte. Moon would have been perfect to slow him down till Brown was ready for Lebron to be put on Evans

Also, more focused on Delonte's mood and attitude, you can see that he was still enjoying himself in OT when Z kept raining 3's. Delonte had a big grin and put the OK-3 sign that Boobie does, but West used both hands and wore the 3 sign like goggles. He's still gold.

Does anybody realize this is the 2nd largest OT shutout in NBA history?

AV's description of Z's threes is classic. I don't want to ruin it by posting what he said.

Thanks - according to Fred McLeod's blog: "How about Z's 3's?! the bench went nuts...the goosenecks were out (that's the follow through and the eye your thumb makes pressed against the index finger). Delonte and Jamario were putting up two goosenecks as Z was raining triples...it was quite a site. And LBJ's Triple Double...3's were wild!"

I didnt' see any evidence where Delonte was struggling defensively out there. None. I'm thinking this was just a gut feeling Mike Brown had to let Evans torch Mo and Parker.

Luckily it didn't matter in overtime.

Who in the fuck is that in the background yelling about showering? :chuckles:

I didn't see any of this game, have yet to watch highlights. Just got back from a college basketball game that was 3 hours away (hence why I still haven't seen any of it). Did we seem pretty focused?

What were LBJ's stats at the end of regulation? Surprisingly, the stats he finished with have only been posted twice according to BBR (Bird and Wince). 34/16/10 is pretty monstrous.

We seemed focused, but we got out-hustled and the Kings played insane basketball. It was a shootout for three quarters, LeBron started off hot, then Mo picked it up in the second half where LeBron tailed off a bit. LeBron turned it on defensively and when he went on Evans, Evans shot 1-8 the rest of the way. He locked him up.

Bron had like 30-some points, 15 rebounds and 7 or 8 assists going into OT. Z hit three 3's to ultimately win the game. We held them to 0 points in the entire OT.
