CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas could miss up to a month after suffering a small fracture when he twisted his left ankle last month. Ilgauskas sprained his ankle during a Dec. 10 game at Philadelphia. He missed only three games but has been bothered by pain and stiffness since returning. An MRI taken Friday revealed that Ilgauskas, who missed nearly two full seasons earlier in his career with foot problems, chipped the talus bone in his ankle.

• Ten times this season the Cavs’ defense has limited opponents to less than 40 percent shooting. They’ve won on every occasion.

• Coach Mike Brown was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for December. The Cavs compiled a 12-2 record, one victory shy of setting a franchise record for a month.

“I am biased,” Brown said. “I feel I have the best staff in the league. I allow them to coach. They’ve helped me out tremendously. I have a great team. Whenever an honor comes to somebody in our organization, I feel it’s a team thing and an organizational thing.”

• G-F Wally Szczerbiak still seems bothered by a bruised knee that caused him to miss two games. He said it feels a bit stiff. “I had a contusion on the bursa sac and a slight bone bruise on the knee,” he said. “The main issue is (the) bursa sac.” Szczerbiak said he got injured when he bumped knees with Hawks center Zaza Pachulia. He had four points and two rebounds on Sunday against Washington.

If not, it's retarded. Not that it looks bad, it's just really dumb. Blue, it isn't one of our colors. That design, it's a throwback that never existed. CavFanatic, it's a terrible forum that deserves no tribute.

I think those are the real jerseys that will be worn for the game.

First, the bobblehead is wearing the same exact jersey. If Alltel just wanted to go "blue" they would've dawned the road alternates.

Secondly, I remember seeing a peek at them when the all-star jerseys were debuted. I was unsure at the time whether or not they were the mystery jerseys shown on the Bobbie bobblehead, but after taking a closer look I'm almost sure.

As you can see, the part of the jersey that can be seen is very similar, with the cursive "rs" at the end with the yellow underline and the unique red-yellow-red-yellow-red band around the neck and arms. I could still be wrong, but I think those are Cavs alternates in that picture.

P.S. the waistband on those shorts is sick, I'd definitely buy a pair to ball in.

I am about 95% sure they are wearing these. Yes, the idea is pretty stupid, but I like the uni's. And yea, blue isn't one of our colors, so then why do we wear those stupid blue "alternates" every single road game. It's like the reds have become our alternates now. I was shocked to see us wearing them vs the Wiz. I love the red away jerseys.

Great preview Splitz. I would call this game a sure thing, but with our play yesterday we can toss out that phrase for the time being. We do have a few advantages though, it being a home game, the Cats coming off a back to back, an extra day for practice, and the sour taste of the Wizards loss to drive us.

Also, if we want to scope out the competition Boston has a back to back with Charlotte on Tuesday and then the Rockets the following. I'm sure they'll get past the Bobcats, but the Rockets could be a test if they decide to play. A chance to take the #1 seed in the East? Maybe, but we need to win this one first.
