INJURIES
Bobcats: Raja Bell DTD (Groin), Sean May (Fat)
Cavaliers: Zydrunas Ilgauskus (Ankle), Eric Snow (NBATV Anchor)
CLEVELAND -- Cavaliers center Zydrunas Ilgauskas could miss up to a month after suffering a small fracture when he twisted his left ankle last month. Ilgauskas sprained his ankle during a Dec. 10 game at Philadelphia. He missed only three games but has been bothered by pain and stiffness since returning. An MRI taken Friday revealed that Ilgauskas, who missed nearly two full seasons earlier in his career with foot problems, chipped the talus bone in his ankle.

TEAM NOTES
• Ten times this season the Cavs’ defense has limited opponents to less than 40 percent shooting. They’ve won on every occasion.
• Coach Mike Brown was named Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for December. The Cavs compiled a 12-2 record, one victory shy of setting a franchise record for a month.
“I am biased,” Brown said. “I feel I have the best staff in the league. I allow them to coach. They’ve helped me out tremendously. I have a great team. Whenever an honor comes to somebody in our organization, I feel it’s a team thing and an organizational thing.”
Quote To Note: “I think Mo is playing very well and should make the All-Star team. Obviously, it’s going to be tough with the way (Rajon) Rondo is playing in Boston and Devin Harris in New Jersey. (Harris has) put up some big numbers. You have to take that into consideration. But you have to take our record into consideration. Mo, being on a team with the record that we have, is playing at an All-Star level.”—Cavs coach Mike Brown, on the possibility of guard Mo Williams making the All-Star team.
• G-F Wally Szczerbiak still seems bothered by a bruised knee that caused him to miss two games. He said it feels a bit stiff. “I had a contusion on the bursa sac and a slight bone bruise on the knee,” he said. “The main issue is (the) bursa sac.” Szczerbiak said he got injured when he bumped knees with Hawks center Zaza Pachulia. He had four points and two rebounds on Sunday against Washington.
