Game 36 | Cleveland vs. Charlotte | January 3, 2010 | 6:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I didn't read this whole thread, but I hope people can give credit to the Bobcats' defense.

They clearly get in our heads, and not just us considering they have the best PPG defense in the NBA.

I'll know how I feel after Wednesday. We had a pretty dang good run going. Bound to hit a wall at some point.

Imagine the ass raping the Wizards are going to be the victim of Wednesday, damn....

Wallace and Jackson on the perimeter is pretty intense! Looks like that is our poison.

BRON BRON with 2 ft attempts
Andy, MOON, BIG Z 1-17

I was watching the game and didn't think it was that bad

the refs had nothing to do with this loss. They blew rhe Mo call which was frankly real weird but they swallowed theie whistle on a pretty clear foul by Shaq on Felton

WEAK!! :thumbdown

This was entirely the Cavs' fault! No need for cheap ref cop-outs here.

The Cavaliers played like ass. They got killed on the pick 'n roll and turned it over way too much.

But 13 free throws at home is ridiculous, especially since the Cavaliers were attacking the basket.

Just because they are at home, doesn't mean they deserve special treatment. Refs were very conservative tonight. See Pioneer's quote above. They played like shit against a mediocre/decent team, so they deserve a loss. IT'S JUST ONE LOSS. Like people said above we're just going to have to put up with lackluster effort until games that actually matter come along. It is what it is.

You can blame a few no calls on the refs, however, at the end of the day, we didn't play well enough to win.....And I'm sure this was mentioned numerous times already but, why didn't Shaq and Delonte foul Flip in the corner at the end of the game? Not only did we waste another 4-5 seconds, but we could have put a 60% FT shooter on the line with a ton of pressure on the road. That being said, I tip my hat to the Bobcats for playing a very tough game defensively and hitting some big shots.

3 things I wish MB did differently.....

Why was AV and Shaq switching on Felton late in the game so he could blow right by them? That made no sense at all?

Boobie Gibson should have played this game with Moon, Parker, and even West not doing much. We really could have used his 3 point shooting.

I might be the only one, but I would have rather had an on fire Mo Williams (8% better than LeBron from 3) take that last shot than LeBron.

Props to the Bobcats for a game well played, and especially Felton coming up with a few big hoops at the end of the game.

We can whine all we want, but the Cavs just got beaten tonight, no buts about that.

Just one loss, and like Stereo said, we were on one HELL of a run; we were bound to hit a wall somewhere.

And unlike last year when we demolished all of these weak teams, we still do pretty well, and we're beating elite competition. If losing to the Bobcats in turn means we rout the Celtics, I'm fine with that.

DVR'ed the game and just watched it. It was exactly what I expected: a game where the Cavs gave piss poor effort and energy throughout and made the Bobcats look like an elite team.

For some reason the Cavs just refuse to respect that Cats team regardless of how physical and intelligent the Cats play them. Larry Brown owns Mike Brown entirely. The Cavs refuse to respect Felton's jumper and ability to drive and now that they have Stephen Jackson they let him out-physical them all game long.

Noone did shit besides LeBron and Mo today and this is just one of those games that demonstrates just how key it is that the Cavs bring in another guy who can score points for the team. There will be games like today when the role players are completely useless and look like washed up idiots. (I'm talking to you Anthony Parker)

In any case...this game might not matter in the grand scheme of things because the Cavs record is pretty close to the Celts, but it's just frustrating to watch.

You can chalk the Wizards game up as a loss for the same reasons as this one. Don't even think I'm gonna watch it because I already know how frustrating it's going to be.
