Game 36, Utah @ Cavs, Monday, 5 March 2012, 7:00pm

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kyrie is really a relentless scorer. He's got so many ways to beat you, that he's ultimately unstoppable.

That's not true. He's tentative at times because he's young, but he never "quits". He has lazier possessions like any other NBA player would, but it probably has more to do with being unsure or tired than just "quitting".

He's done a great job, especially being the point man on a team with a bunch of veterans, he's also being asked to improve in other areas in terms of helping teammates and he has to work on balancing that with scoring. It would be nice for some pressure to be taken off of him at times as well.

He's a 19 year old kid, he's still years away from being to dominate every game in multiple facets night in and night out. He's learning, though. Scott is the perfect coach to have guiding him along the way.

There's no point in taking pressure off him. He doesn't have to dominate every aspect of the game, he just has to try. He's 19, but it was his choice to come into the NBA. He doesn't give 100% all the time, and it's obvious. AC calls him out all the time on it. The talent around him sucks ass, and the veterans are all losers who don't have a winning mentality. This team is trash, and it sucks to watch when you can just tell no one on the floor gives a shit, sometimes including Kyrie. I'd rather watch sessions then watch Kyrie walk the ball up the court when we are down by 10.

OH look, he is starting to try, how nice

utah is a bad matchup for the cavs, our frontcourt defense really gets exploited vs them. really impressive for kyrie to start 0-6 and then go 6-8 in this quarter.

and its just not true to say that kyrie wasnt trying. he was just missing shots, plain and simple.

for the most part i really enjoy watching the cavs this year, and I honestly don't care if they win or lose. but the one thing that annoys me the most about this team is the way they run a fast break, everybody, and I mean everybody thinks they can just take it themselves, even though a wide open teammate is on the wing. make the easy pass please. so frustrating to watch.

Anyone have any ideas on things I can talk about after the game? I'm open to suggestions

Moo

He has bad quarters because he quits and doesn't try. Kid is talented and we have seen what he can do. It just sucks that more often then not he starts to try in only the 2nd half/4th quarter.

He's a rookie point guard. He's a rookie, meaning he will feel tentative. He's a rookie point guard, meaning he will be doubly tentative to score. He's still trying to find his place and figure out when he should attack and when he should get the team involved. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Also all you wankers who cry about mailing it in in the 3rd quarter need to get a grip. This team has shown that it get right back into games like *that*. Seems like every other game the Cavs get behind, everyone bitches at halftime, then everyone eats crow in the 4th.

I'm not saying it's a good thing, to dig ourselves in a hole every game, but christ, the fat lady ain't singing.

TT is just shitting on Kanter.

Just waiting for next year...

tristan with some great defense there. he has the best +/- (+2) on the team. probably because jamisons defense is fucking non-existent

Criticizing a nineteen-year-old PG for not carrying a team of misfit toys to victory strikes me as... I'll be diplomatic and say misguided. He's the hands-down ROY playing for a rebuilding squad. He can only do so much with the pieces around him.
