Game 4 | Cavs (1-2) @ Jazz (1-3) | November 5th, 2014 | 9pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'd actually be happier right now if guys like Cherry, Kirk, Haywood and Harris got minutes.

So you want to put a practice squad out there?

Part of the reason we stink right now is our rotation is top heavy.

Our only starting caliber 2 has posted this stat line through 4 games:

7.5 pts on 32.4% shooting, 1 reb, 1 ast and 1.8 TO.

Marion is just as bad:

2.8 pts on 33% shooting, 2.5 reb, 0.8 ast and 1.8 TO.

As is Miller:

0.5 pts on 33% shooting, 1.8 reb, 0 ast.

Delly isn't much better:

4.7 pts on 30% shooting, 1 reb, 2.3 ast.

So 4 of the top 9 guys we have are playing like absolute dog shit. If they just give us average production, based on their career metrics, we are 3-1 and not 1-3. Our stars haven't been perfect every night but they have certainly played well enough to where we shouldn't be forced to run them 40+ a night.

That was probably the highlight of the Jazz whole season. Let them have this moment.

Cavs got a pg and he's called LBJ. We're in the process of making Irving understand that he has to let go of his ambitions and let the guy who 90% of the time makes the right decision when he has the ball in his hands(whether it is scoring or passing after correctly reading the play) take care of it.. There are two ways for this team to start winning. Either lebron becomes the primary ballhandler (preferable) or Irving becomes a facilitator more than a score first pg

We have no backup pg at the moment, wow.
Blatt can't punish Kyrie for making stupid plays at all, there is no one that is able to replace him, Della is down and there isn't anybody else.
the rotation is so terrible, we could have used Wiggins so much right now :OXD

Agree to so e extent but with Miller, he's just getting the ball in a position to shoot. At all. Dion doesn't get himself into good spots to make himself a ail able and wen if he did, I don't know if he would get the ball. Our bench is looking scary weak right now.

I'll say this though: if we excel in rebounding, we are a minimum of 2-2 and probably 3-1 even with all the sucking. Utah made the difference on the Off boards along with inside where they were met with little or no resistance. We might have the poorest defense inside of 5 feet in the league.

Could you fucking stop with this Wiggins shit? that shit was never and will never be funny.

You really think we'd be better with Andrew Wiggins over Kevin Love? The same Andrew Wiggins who's shooting 37.5% from the field and averaging 7.5 ppg?

Just stop bro.

LBJ played like the best player in the league? Wow. I must have been watching the wrong game. He had a weak drive with 25 seconds left that was easily defensed by Hayward. He then hit that desperation heave and caught a very stupid Utah defender in the air, followed by three made three free throws.

Outside of that, this game was totally pedestrian by LeBron. Once again, especially in the first half, he played disinterested basketball on both ends.

Hell, on the game winning shot, he was on his backside. That was HIS man that hit that shot.

It is early in the season, yes. He doesn't need to play it like Game 7 of the Finals for 48 minutes, but his effort so far has left much to be desired.

Kyrie has been tagged as the whipping boy. He's getting all the criticism, but the fact is that we desperately needed all of his scoring tonight. This offense is still a total work in progress and there is a lot of standing around, watching. That doesn't exactly promote ball movement.

Defensively, our interior was exposed big time for the second straight night.

I'm not freaking out too early in the season, but I'd like to see more fire for 48 minutes, specifically out of the league's best player.
You sir were watching a different game. The same LeBron who along with Marion was leading us defensively in the 3rd, our best quarter? There's a reason why he was the biggest + for us.

No statistics for me to look at tonight, for a meaningless game in November against a well inferior foe this sure is disappointing.

Thought the fates were aligned for OT when they decide to actually show up on defense the latter part of the 4th but James falling on D and Hayword fitting a tough fade-away sealed their fate.

I am kinda torn right now, sure its just another loss to begin the season. This is a new squad they are going to have their growing pains, but I am torn as to how James should go about the game.

I know he has never been one to force himself onto any game, he lets the game come to him and makes the smart play, regardless if it gets him points. I am torn at the fact no one knows if its better for him to be passive or take over a game. He actually had offensive help tonight in the 4th with Irving but he seems to passive this young season and I don't know if that is the way to go.

OMG! The Cavs are on a losing streak and are below .500! That is irrelevant right now, I want this team to try and develop an identity. It may take longer than a week, but I thought by know we would have seen some sort of similiance of one by now.

After relaxing I think this could be spun into a good manner if blatt can relate this as to why you have to defend all 48 minutes or why you can't win with less than 8 assists

Which is exactly why he's getting the criticism.

The reason why we "needed" his scoring tonight is because other people weren't getting good shots. Because the ball came to a dead stop when it hit his hands.

Kyrie can create his own shot as well as anyone in the league. That's great. But many of the other players on our team cannot. If he's not swinging the ball around the perimeter or setting up open shots for his teammates (which he did absolutely none of last night), of course they aren't going to be very useful on offense.

As a result, his big scoring night looks like it was "needed", even though with good ball movement, other guys would have gotten the open shots they need to be impactful on the offensive side of the ball.

6 assists. As a team. Our starting PG with none of them. I don't believe the sky is falling at all, but he has to change the way he plays the game in order for this team to be successful.

I hope his takeaway from the game is not similar to yours. We didn't need his scoring tonight. We needed ball movement and playing within the offense. It was glaring just how badly he looked for his own shot every time he touched the ball. At least Lebron was using the threat of his scoring ability to set others up.

I hope this lights a spark in them from this loss.

6 assists is a joke. Blatt is going to have to man up and tell these bitches to play his style or sit, regardless of who they are. Now Dion probably wants a trade, after that 13 minute joke last night. Miller 22 minutes no points, 1 shot. Way to use your perimeter threats. Kyrie 23 shots and no assists. Get the fuck outta here.

I actually liked what I saw yesterday, not in the first half at all, but then we started playing some actual defense in the second half and it looked like the guys were actually trying. We knew it would look ugly as the preseason isn't really a great place to figure out how your teammates play.

Now on offense, I just want to see a couple passes. Transition and semi-transition its fine to take the quick open shot, but most of the times theres 1-2 guys moving at all in the half court. When we run something set out of time outs it has generally worked and looked good, I'm not sure what the resistance is to that all the time. Except Tristan, he should never be allowed to shoot outside of the charge circle.
