Injuries
Cavs- NONE (!!!)
Nets- Jarret Jack (torn acl), Andrea Bargnani (Sore right ankle), Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (ankle), Chris McCullough (knee)

Will the Cavaliers bounce back from the embarrassing beat down from the Warriors?
Will Kevin Love finally look effective?
Will someone else step up in shooting ill advised mid range jumpers in place for the injured Jarret Jack?

Tune in Wednesday.

I want them to win every game and usually a decent win by a big enough margin makes me forget little about the previous loss but I doubt this game, even if in a win, will do that.

We could blow out Brooklyn and I honestly wouldn't care that much. That massacre two days ago ripped out my soul and tarnished my emotional connection with this team. It showed me that unless something changes, this team as currently constructed is not a true title contender with San Antonio and Golden State.

Go Cavs I guess.

kevin love finishes the game with a "decent" 10 points 10 rebounds against 1 of the league bitches.

Over a game in January?! Dishearting yes, but you think the greatest player on the planet is going to let that happen again? The Cavs needed a slap in the face to realize what it is going to take to beat the West Coast elites.

People need to chill out. We have one of the most talented teams in the NBA. One game in January is not the end of the season. Winning an NBA championship is an incredibly difficult task, there are more lows to come, its part of the game. If you can't realize that go root for Buffalo.

We'll win this one and win it easily, but it won't change the fact that we need to change our game to beat the only two teams that matter. Tim Legler nailed it the other day when he said the Cavs biggest problem is that they'll easily win the East with the way that they're playing, so the alarm bells don't consistently ring. No one can stop us due to talent alone. My hope is that we use the second half of the season to tinker with our offense, implement some different sets, and use teams like the Brooklyn Nets as guinea pigs to experiment and prove that team ball will get us wins and make basketball a whole lot easier.

True, but honestly how many wake up calls do we need? I find myself saying that after every game...Christmas Day against the Warriors, the Portland disaster, the game against the Spurs... At this point, I'll believe it when I see it, because this team just seems mentally fragile to the core.

We probably have the most talented roster in the league, but talent is only as valuable as it translates to on court production. Roster fit, chemistry, coaching, effort, etc, are all important. We're able to beat most teams off of pure talent, but we're 0-3 against the Western Conference big dogs (SA and GS) this season, because they've exposed our lack of ball movement and defensive IQ/effort. This isn't based off of one game, countless posters and I have mentioned this all season, even after wins. We haven't been playing up to our talent level. Not even close.

And it's not a small fix. Like LeBron said, it's going to take a lot of work before this team gets to where it needs to be. I believe we can do it, but personally in addition to a change in player mentality, I think we still need to add a defensive-minded 3/4 - maybe by trading Mozgov or maybe through the TPE - to maximize our potential and contend with the truly elite teams.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the guys respond tonight.

There ought to be a rule requiring anyone who refers to LBJ as the greatest player on the planet to acknowledge he's also the most uncoachable.

This game is meaningless to me, really don't care about it!

There is only one thing that could happen and I will be interested again, and that thing is as following...

I would like to see two of our guys sitting out tonight in street clothes (and they don't even need to bother to show up in the arena),
The two guys are.................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

DAVID BLATT and LEBRON JAMES!

Immediately after the game or even while the game, the two should sit down in any nice and quiet place in NYC, and seriously work out if and how they can work together in one unified system that would maximise the efficiency of both Lebrons strengths and a Blatt system, and they should leave only when they have a clear message to the rest of the team that there is no more two leaderships pulling the wagon in different directions but a combination of powers heading in one direction with one system (not called iso) fully focused on winning the trophy.

(Ohh and if you are concerned who would do the post game pressers, if the two are preoccupied, it's ok, we have no problem with Damon Johnes and Sasha Kaun filling in for them today.)

I am quite confident that if the above issue is solved most of the other issues (for example Kyries D, getting Love involved, etc. etc.) will improve and/or be solved.
But if the above can not be worked out, let us at least downgrade our expectations of this team, from a title contender to a ECF contender at the max.
