Probably the most well rounded win of the season, at least the best one in recent memory. It helps that Chicago was without Noah and Dunleavy, but we've played like crap against a lot worse.
There was actual effort on D, we got back in transition (and the Bulls dont push it really, that helps a bunch too). 19, 20, and 23 are the Bulls scoring totals for the first 3 quarters. I wont really count the 4th, that whole quarter was effectively garbage time. Rebounding was huge. In the half court this team isn't bad. I think they gotta let Love and Moz and TT just try to play post D. Having some guard half sag doesnt really contribute anything to stopping a post guy from scoring but it does open up shots and make the team rotate, which it just doesnt do that well.
The O was just all around better. We didnt have as much walk up the court, wait till 14 seconds left on the clock, have one screen while everyone else stands around, then shoot some horrible contested shot possessions. Sure there was some 1 on 1 but it was at least balanced and typically done for favorable matchups. We even ran a few plays there!
JR has been huge since hes been here. Actually, Dion has been playing pretty well for OKC too. I think both guys needed a change of scenery.
The Jazz are up Wednesday, and they played damn well last time we played them. Heres hoping the effort we've seen the past few games continues...
