Projected starting linueps:

Cavs:
Daniel Gibson, Anthony Parker, LeBron James, JJ Hickson, Shaquille O'Neal
Heat:
Rafer Alston, Dwyane Wade, Quentin Richardson, Michael Beasley, Jermaine O'Neal
Offcials
Tom Washington, Leroy Richarson, Zach Zarba (this is a quality crew).

Jamario Moon took part in shootaround this morning and the team has upgraded him to questionable from out. It appears, based on his activity level, that he's going to play after missing nine games with the strained abdominal muscle. Delonte West is out with the fractured finger, but there is a chance he may come back this week.

• The Heat are a hot and cold team. They've had some strong performances and other nights where they don't look like a playoff team. Beasley is the X-factor for them, when he plays well they turn into a different team. But he's like a more talented version of Hickson, some nights he looks like a future star and some nights he can't even stay on the floor because of defensive lapses. Regardless, he's a tough cover for the Cavs and Hickson because he can play inside out. When his jumper is falling, he's hard to handle.

• First, it was Kobe Bryant then Kevin Durant and now Wade. Three consecutive games with very tough wing covers. This is actually quite a challenging piece of the Cavs schedule. It will be a team effort again with Parker starting out on Wade followed by Jawad Williams and perhaps Moon. There's a chance LeBron will pick him up in the fourth quarter. The high-and-pick roll is the play that gives the Cavs massive fits with Wade. He's so good at moving side-to-side with the ball that he can abuse the defense for getting into bad angles. It's hard to win a possession game with the Heat because of this, especially down here in South Beach.

hopefully I can get out of class by halftime, if not, yall won't see me until tomorrow night...

MIAMI -- Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jamario Moon says he has recovered from a left abdominal strain and expects to play Monday night when the Cavaliers visit the Miami Heat.

Moon hasn't played since Jan. 3, and had missed 14 straight shots dating back to Dec. 27 before getting hurt. Cavs coach Mike Brown said Moon has been medically cleared, but that he wasn't absolutely certain that Moon would play Monday against one of his former teams.

Moon is averaging 5.0 points for the Cavaliers this season.

Damnit.

We're going to lose. It's going to be a crappy executed, lackadaisical game.

Oh well, at least I'm expecting it, makes it easier to swallow come game time.

lebron eastern conference player of the week...again

We had this debate last year.

The Cavs were 3-1 in games last year that featured an advertised "party" the night before (or later the same night). Which is basically the same as their current winning percentage.

This year, the Cavs have dropped games at the party capitals of Charlotte, Salt Lake City, Memphis. They have also won in the not-much-going-on towns of Miami, Orlando, LA (twice), New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta.

So I am not seeing a correlation.

If they lose, they lose, not because of some promo event. For that matter, I'm sure they're better behaved at promoted appearances with lots of people and cameras and security than they might be at private functions that we don't hear about.

What is more interesting about that party is that sweet 'stache LBJ is rocking, when did he just have a stache and not a 5 oclock shadow?
