For a long while after the Kyrie trade, I found it really hard to go back and watch this series. Which sucked, because whenever I was feeling blue, that was the one thing that'd cheer me up.

But now, given the state of this team, I'm not even mad anymore. I'm so passed the point of no-return this season (Isaiah being nowhere near Kyrie's level has a lot to do with that) that I'm able to watch the Finals and enjoy how incredible that team was. I'll always miss Kyrie Irving but at least now when I see old footage of him in a Cavs uniform, I'm now nearly as bothered.

It'd be one thing if Isaiah was playing this bad, but was at least a nice guy. But he comes off as a total piece of shit, making it nearly impossible to root for him on any level.

Idk. Try to think about this with a different pair of shoes on. You have everyone in the entire universe telling you that you suck ass your whole life, you are too short, you will go nowhere. Your entire life is about proving them wrong. Then you have a great system under the Celtics, Brad Stevens in reality turned a bunch of scrubs and roleplayers into a real team. You excel, even get into MVP talks. (This was purely because Stevens is a top 3 coach in the NBA). But you prove the haters wrong. Your were the centerpiece of an over-achieving team, and were allowed to completely take over and chuck whenever you wanted to.

You proved everyone wrong but now you are shipped to Cleveland. Once brought to that savior status, best player on the team status, how does one really lose all of that chip on his shoulder, all that fight to be the best, and the pride in actually proving it?

Only a pussy would just accept his fate and play down. He is playing horrible right now but he is playing his game. We KNEW what we were getting when we did this trade, this is NOT on IT, this is on the Cavs organization more than anyone else. IT has to make better decisions, WAY better decisions on the floor, there's no doubt about it. But I'm not going to bury this guy just yet, and i'm definitely not going to hate on his mentality.
