Game #5 -|- Cavaliers vs. Celtics -|- November 3rd, 2016 @ 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Obviously the Cavs play in 2nd gear but I have some problems that I need to address.
Cavs will not be able to coast and be fresh for the playoffs if the 2nd unit continues to look like this. It was one of the biggest strengths last season and right now they just can't maintain leads and generate good looks.
Cavs without Lebron in the lineup is still a big problem, it's too stagnant and reliant on Iso. Shumpert can't play PG ever without Lebron in the lineup, gotta eitehr give the PG duty to Felder when LBJ isn't on the court or find a backup pg.
Lue has to think of creative ways to feature Love on offense when Lebron or Kyrie sit, going to Love in the post everytime is just not a good offense, it's inefficient and he needs to try something else and mix it up a bit.

Kyrie's defense continues to be very bad in the regular season but I guess it's never going to change so who cares. Other playerss cover up for him on every pick and that's annoying but you gotta take the good with the bad.
Kyrie looks confident shooting the ball even more than previous years, looks very godo offensively but I don't expect him to be an average defender in the RS.

Still, Celtics shouldn't ever score 122 points on a 2nd night of a back to back on Cavs home court.

Shumpert, Frye and TT all looked great. Felder not dressed again is pretty weird.

Cavs are winning and scoring big without even trying which is pretty remarkable, I really have no idea how they score so much while being lazy.

Basketball is the 1 sport where you can have a transcendent player and are guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. Remember regular season doesn't matter and we are 5-0 without really trying...

I think the Cavs all season v B-squads/3rd tier teams (and Celtics w/o all their pieces are one of those) will look like that: a Cat who's effectively killed the mouse but keeps it alive for his amusement.
