My problem with IT currently isn't his athletic ability right now. It's his lack of a good shot selection and basketball IQ. A good player would rein themselves in and use what they have to set up the rest of the team until they got to 100%.

We saw how a smart PG in Calderon figured out a way to positively effect the game while not having to score himself. I think that's why people are so mad at IT at the moment. He is a PG and should be a floor general, going 3 for 15 and jacking up shots doesn't help his team win games.

He might also just be a selfish, stupid player. Brad Stevens was able to make an effective player out of him, but I’m sure Ty Lue is powerless, largely because the players tune out a clueless coach.

This is what IT has done since he came back. The announcer will say wait to get his legs back and he will be a better player. IT had said he isn't 100% game shape but that isn't an excuse to not play smart basketball. We see him take quick trigger 3s with tons of time left on the shot clock and miss. We also see him milk the clock and not pass.
