Game 55 | Nuggets vs. Cavaliers | February 18, 2010 | 8:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I am pissed. Time to sit bron down and have a talk about this bullshit. This rivalry style of "im the better clutch shooter" against melo and wade is getting out of hand. Way to make a first impression for Jamison by missing not 1, not 2, but 3 shots behind the arc. I hope Bron learns from this mistake, and Mike brown gets his head out his ass.

I'm not condoning the strategy, but the first two of those weren't bad looks for LeBron. He could've hit either, and he almost always hits the second in situations like that after he misses the first.

Tomorrow is sort of a must win. We have to go to Orlando after that.

Of course, if the Celts keep spanking the Lakers, that gives us a bit more breathing room.

Must win? I think I'll reserve that for a situation like being down 2 games to 1, or 3 to 1, in the finals. This is a tough stretch. We all knew it. Might lose a few games, but we'll be OK. Need to face a little adversity.

It could be a trade hangover, I mean people have been feeding this entire team and staff shit since last night. All this, you can win it all, beat anyone mentality might have gotten the best of them tonight. I just wished our next game wasn't against the Bobcats, they always seem to ball when they play us.

Oh my lord now we have Greg Brenda saying there's a curse, "the curse of Z".

The thing I hate is after these type of losses, the Cavs learn absolutely nothing. Lebron continues to chuck at the end of games and the offense slows to a crawl.

It took Melo balling out of his mind for them to win, if Moon was on Melo that last shot, I bet we go to a 2nd ot.

I bet we don't. How do you defend that shot any better than LeBron did? What would Moon have done to stop it.

Quite simply, you can play perfect defense, but unless you can block the shot, there's nothing you can do to stop a player from making a ridiculous shot.

This one's extra tough to get over. Perhaps a good lesson though as to just how deadly a bad start, dumb shots, and missed free throws can be. I WANT Denver in the finals. IMO, it'd be much more interesting...

I'm alright with this loss. For one Mo Williams wasn't 100%, we were sorely missing Z, and Jamison wasn't able to play. Another interesting statistic is that the other two teams with streaks this big heading into the All-Star break was one of Jordan's Bulls teams and a Shaq/Kobe Lakers team, and those two teams also lost the game immediately after the break. The good news is both teams went on to win the championship that year.

Either way, this is all due to poor free-throw shooting and Jamario Moon riding the pine for some reason.

Oh, also my first post on RCF ever. Woohoo!!

I have a feeling the next 10 or so games could remind us of the first 10 of the season. Guys trying to fnd their role, getting used to each other.

Don't get too down if it doesn't look pretty the next few games... We have adjustments to make...

Oh my lord now we have Greg Brenda saying there's a curse, "the curse of Z".

Is that the loud overweight bald guy? Yeah, I would derive more pleasure having my nuts in a vice rather than hear him talk.

It took Melo perfection for them to win. And we played ragged ball.

Quit your damn bitching and man up. I swear to God, there are some people on here who expect to win after 10 days off, no Z, no real Mo and no Tawn yet.

It is all about being the best in a few months. Give Melo credit and move on.

Moo

Moo, I don't often agree with you, but you are SPOT on here.

Thank you.

Lebron 3P: 9-1
Total free frow: 40-23

Lebron should really stop chucking so many 3's

This may have been our worst game in terms of fundamentals this season. 7-8 missed lay-ups by Shaq/LeBron alone, and then the horrible showing at the line. Not to mention we were shorthanded.

If Denver is as good as advertised, they should have blown us out with the way we played. They really aren't as good as I thought they were. Melo isn't going to be that money every night.

I know people will bring up LeBron's great night, but there is a difference between the way they scored. At least half of Anthony's points were contested/difficult jump shots. LeBron scored almost all of his points at the rim. Heck, how many times is LeBron going to go 1-9 from 3?

So, in short, it took a torrid night from Carmelo for the Nuggets to beat a shorthanded Cleveland team having a horrible night by 2.

Don't scare me whatsoever in a playoff series.

I get the feeling that them sweeping us means next to nothing.

If we play intense basketball, and are at maximum strength(last time we were without Tawn) we can take them in a 7 game series. Especially with the Shaq mismatch.

Kinda annoyed that the first game Antawn sees as a Cav is a loss though
