Game 56 | Bobcats vs. Cavaliers | February 19, 2010 | 7:00 EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My prediction for tomorrow's game is based on LeBron (no surprise). If he's fired up because of the Denver game, he can get another triple double, and this time with a W. I think he'll score only around 25 though, because Crash has been educated on how to guard LeBron from the current GOAT, and the Bobcats' defense as a whole is very impressive. But, if the Cavs lose, it's going to be because they're exhausted from tonight, they don't know how to incorporate Jamison yet, and/or they don't take the Bobcats seriously.

would it be a bit ironic if crash got a breakaway and unleashed a flaboyant dunk after his dunk contest debacle

Here is your NumbersDon't game preview:

Game Preview – Friday February 19, 2010 – Cleveland Cavaliers @ Charlotte Bobcats

Well, it had to end sometime folks. The Cavaliers’ franchise tying 13 game win streak came to a screeching halt last night, as Denver defeated the Cavaliers, 118-116 in OT, with LeBron James missing a 3 at the horn for the win. The Cavaliers averaged 103.9 points per game over the win streak, allowing just 93.8. Out of the 13 games, the Clevelanders reached 100 ten (10) times. Their opponents, meanwhile, had more games where they scored less than 90 (5) than games where they scored 100+ (4). There were 5 double digit wins involved in the streak, and 10 wins by 5 or more points. 10 times the Cavaliers held their opponents to under 50% shooting, 5 of those times it was under 40%. It was definitely an unbelievable run.

The Cavaliers, of course, are coming off their overtime loss at the hands of the Nuggets. LeBron James had a stat line for the ages, as he delivered 43 points, 13 rebounds, 15 assists, 2 steals, & 4 blocks, becoming the 1st player in NBA history to achieve such a feat, and the 1st player since Oscar Robertson to have at least 40 points, 15 assists, and 13 rebounds in a game. Mo Williams made his return, coming off the bench, but played on 18 minutes. Shaq added 18 points & 7 rebounds on 9-15 shooting, while J.J Hickson & Anthony Parker combined for 27 points on 9-15 shooting.

The Bobcats are coming off of a 103-94 loss to the lowly Nets, in a game where they never held a lead. Gerald Wallace led the way with 21 points & 10 rebounds, with Boris Diaw adding 19 & 11. Raymond Felton scored 18 on just 9 shot attempts, to go along with his 5 rebounds & 4 assists. Stephen Jackson struggled in the loss, scoring 15 points on 7-20 shooting, 0-6 from downtown.

He has said he aims to play, and there wouldn't be a reason for the Cavs to stop him (except for the part about not practicing with the team).

The potential holdup is that the Wizards told their beat reporter that they don't expect Al Thornton to play on Friday night. Thornton needs to pass his physical for the trade to be complete. If Thornton got to WAS late Thursday and plans to handle everything on Friday, then I expect Jamison to play. But if Thornton is taking his time to get from LA to WAS, then it may not happen.

How long players have to report can vary. I hope Thornton is in Washington already or has an early flight tomorrow. Also not sure if any team involved agreed to waive the physical (for Gooden, Z, Thornton).

Yeah Plus Jamison already had his physical right after Mo's MRI . So he will be ready to go but will not start I would assume.

Z has to go for a physical? that probably takes abnout 15 hrs just to check his feet.

Mike Brown really needs to find better rotations. Last night things were disjointed.

Time for some payback..time to start another streak...

Hopefully Jamsion plays and he gets 20 and 15. That's going to look great next to Lebrons 40 10 and 10.

there is no way in hell we are not winning this game.

If we play like we did last night, there is a very good chance we lose this game.

This is another team that can out rebound us, and probably out shoot us from the FT line.

Jamison would be a huge energy boost if he gets a chance to play tonight.

Lol, does Charlotte really need to have a picture in picture of their players. We don't need two pics to know who they are :chuckles:

It was almost as necessary as the nit picking that you're doing. Sorry, had to rush this one.. I am currently planning my Game Thread retirement.

No Telfair? Wow. Awful thread :chuckles: kidding.

Last night was one of those games where you just had the feeling it wouldn't end well. They deserved to lose, missed free throws and som easy shots. However, we poor as a team and it they STILL had to play outstanding to win, so positive there.

Not a big deal though, I knew going in they may need a wake up game. Plus with Z gone and Antawn not being able to play...coupled with Shaqs foul trouble...they really had us by the balls.

Hopefully Tawn plays tonight, nice revenge game and would be a solid win to start a new streak, especially with what appears to be the toughest stretch of games all year.

Slack 1st qtr D? Missed Bunnies breeding? How many missed FTs? Can't get a damn defensive RB? Twan, Mo, Redzz and Moon MIA?

Nah, even if all that goes down, the Boobcats don't have Melo to bail them out.

Besides, LBJ was so pissed I bet he will be first on the line at FT drill. And last.

i bet the team will be up for this game tonight, possible debut of jamison, trying to get mo back in the rotation, might mike brown have remembered we also have a guy called jamario moon, who is really good at marking tall wing players like jackson and wallace?
