Game #57: Cavaliers (34-22) vs. Wizards (33-24); EMERGENCY THREAD

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
we lost because we fell in love with outside shots. They can't continue to jack up 3's when it's obvious that they have gone cold. We played good in the first quarter because we attacked the paint, then for some reason, we got away from it.
This is where Kevin Love is gonna come in handy.

Outside of LeBron the team shot 7-31 from 3. Not gonna win many games when you shoot like that.

Wait, why would you remove LeBron from this equation when he was 1-4 from 3 making it 8-35? Dude, I know you like LeBron but come on...

I just hope LeBron doesn't get discouraged and stop bringing that energy from here til the playoffs.

We did not play well, but I still take that 100 times out of 100 compared to the crap we were watching a few weeks ago.

Long term, I like Cedi... but when Love comes back and the rotation shrinks to 9 guys come playoff time, he’s an odd man out. It’s a small sample size but he’s looked rough the last two games.

Ty Lue is to blame for that. Cedi has been part of some of our best lineups since he's been named starter, but Lue refuses to play him more than ~15 minutes per game.

Team high +10 tonight. Only two other guys, Korver (+2) and Green (+1) were over 0.

Well this game was obviously a huge let down. Coming off a 4 game winning streak, we have to wait a week to watch them play again, at home with the new players and we do nothing but suffer a big fat loss. This sucks.

If LeBron played throughout the game like he did in the last few minutes the Cavs blow them out...

I understand he’s not gonna exert that kinda effort for every minute he’s out there— but he definitely flipped a switch offensively at the end...

Defensively he was trash all night...

LeBron played well in the first quarter and the last 3 minutes.

We got murdered badly the rest of the game and he was bad. Took off the defensive end.

To piggyback off this, it's not ALL his fault. Team had a bunch of threes rattle in and out.

But you kind of need your best player to be a plus player for more than a third of his time on the floor, especially if your second best player is out.

I normally like your posts, but this LeBron lost the game thing is getting on nerves.

George Hill played 31 mins and TT played 27 mins. Clarkson played 17 mins and Lance 16 mins. That's what lost the game. Lue, for a change, couldn't adjust and kept the no spacing starting lineup for waaaaaaaay too long. It was ugly.

Thompson basically destroyed the offense while he was playing. Kevin Love would have made a tremendous difference right there.

LeBron played pretty damn well.

Which version of LeBron cared more.. all star LeBron or Cavs LeBron tonight. What is your first instinct.

Here's the positive...

we have Memphis tomorrow. Dust off this loss, and put a beating on them. This game will be ancient history by the time they hit the post game showers tomorrow.

Lots to improve on. Team will be fine.

This is the most concerning part. We keep banking on LeBron flipping a defensive switch in the playoffs.... but we have more and more evidence mounting, going back to last year (including the playoffs), that it just doesn't exist anymore.

Sure it does. Come on now. It exists if he wants it to. It’s really that simple.

I wanted to show how the players other than LeBron did because people were saying this one was on him. In this case his 1-4 from 3 actually improved the team's percentage. If we just shoot 30% from 3 tonight we likely win.

He’s 33... With more tread on his tires than any 33 year old Star ever...

It sucks but it’s not gonna change...
