We are going to try to get Detroit or Golden State's first round pick? Is that what he was hinting towards?
 
So would that third unprotected pick have been from Detroit?

Man, is this team painful to watch- almost as hard as watching in 02. The difference is we knew what the potential prize was then- LBJ or Carmelo- where as this time the 'prize' ois not as obvious.

he also said they will revisit those talks after the season...i'd def look for that Hamilton trade to go through, could it possibly be for Detroits 2012 unprotected pick? woah

Yeah I thought of Detroit. But he made it a point to say it was unprotected. according to all of the talk during the deadline that Detroit pick was "heavily protected".

Hey, it's been a little while since our last blowout. The last games were at least close. I was kind of liking that.

Anyway, we're the worst team in the league, playing the best team in the league, so it's no surprise.

Not surprising- with a looming lockout, many of the underclassmen may choose to stay in, thinning out an already weak draft class. If there was a year where a team may be wise to consider dealing a high draft pick this is the year. I assume that Gilbert was referring to the Rip Hamilton trade- which I have to say I am thankful that if fell through.
 
If Grant/Gilbert try to get ANOTHER 2011 lotto pick they are either pick hungry or they must think there is some quality players in this draft.
