Game 61 | Cavs (37-23) @ Rockets (40-18) | March 1, 2015 | 3:30pm EST

Why the fuck did we acquire Mozgov and Perkins then?

Mozgov had a great game, IMHO! But Blatt went small and benched him. Moz isn't athletic enough to play at that pace, hence the need for an athletic 4th big who can block shots.

I thought THIS game really would've been a great chance to use Perkins, an enforcer to calm down the Rockets and make Harden think twice about driving...

Blatt flubbed some of the rotations this game I think.

Wasn't it Tyronn Lue that drew up that last play? I vaguely recall seeing him doing all the talking in that huddle prior. I know Blatt has allowed his assistants draw up a play once in a while.

Sucks that we threw away the Indiana game and ten choked this one away.

I'm strangely positive about the team because even when all goes wrong we have a chance. I would love to move up in the seeding, but have lately seen that if we play well, we'll win the East as we're the best team.

In this game, I'm not sure about Mozgov not coming back even though TT was terrorizing them on the Offensive boards. I'm also not sure about Love not getting the ball in the post to manhandle Jones et. al. Despite the fact at not much else would have mattered had James made some fucking FTs, but the amount of wide ass open threes and layups we missed was irritating. Again, nothing structural. James last year shot 80%+ at the line in the playoffs and I hope we see that again.

Fucking annoying hat we gave away two games but meh.

I bet if someone knocks Harden on his ass once in the first half he reconsiders some of those later drives

The no Timo fourths are strange. He actually has some post game and can run the pick and roll. Make Houston defend a guy with that size and try to finish over him at the other end.

What a draining game just watching. I can only imagine how LeBron feels.

He was getting owned down low by Motiejunas, wouldn't close out all the way out on him on 3 pointer attempts, and Tristan Thompson was busy grabbing 20 boards.

I would have liked to see what TT and Mozgov could have done together on the court. That would have been a load for the undersized Rockets to handle.

Just wanna see us bounce back next game. Lebron had a chance to shove himself in the MVP race with a win.. But it kinda hurt his chances just a little with the ft shooting.

Season isn't over yet.

The notion of guys being an enforcer is so overblown. It's 2015 and not the 80s. Harden getting knocked to the ground once isn't going to do anything. Still it would have been nice to see Mozgov and Perkins in there to at least be stout under the rim. It was sickening seeing Harden waltz down the lane for an easy layup every other play. The Cavs interior defense was helpless at that point.

Timo -13 on the plus/minus worst on team today

Not a useful stat for individual performances.

Means next to nothing. Mozgov had a great game and we really needed him on the floor.

I watched Kevin Garnett literally change how opposing teams would play. Can't say that I agree with this.

Regular season game? Guys aren't going to risk injury just to drive to the hoop; least of all a guy with his entire team on his back and in an MVP race.

Having an enforcer would've made Harden think twice about driving into the lane and getting a HARD foul. Guy's out there thinking about their careers, this ain't the Finals.

Mozgov and Perkins should not have been there, our defense in the end was great, in the 4Q and in OT and David went with that for a great reason, we didn't had the need to go to any "enforcer" or "defender" from the bench, everyone on the floor did great on that side of the floor, and brought us back to the game.
We needed more passing and less ball hogging till the last second from Lebron, and more scoring by the players around him, JR's points are missing when Kyrie isn't there, he should step up in those kind of occasions, because you can't expect Lebron winning by himself offensively all the time (you won't see NBA2K Lebron every game), and Love is just not enough in a game like this, you needed a dominant third scorer who played decent defense in this game (not like Timo who was clearly below average in defense today, especially against Houston's Lithuanian, even though he scored some points).

In the end, even though lebron was a ball hog and no other scorer stepped up, you can't ask more than your best player on the line with the opportunity to end the game, and he didn't do it today, he was horrendous from the line, and missed some layups with his ball hogging, and that's what killed us eventually.
anyway, it's just one game, we need to forget about it and go ahead to the next one, In the Q, where hopefully everyone will get their confidence back.

This is a shitty way to look at the game. LeBron didn't lose the game; fuck, if it hadn't been for LeBron we'd have gotten blown out.

He's not knocking down his free throws.. They made the game very physical, that's how you beat LeBron - physicality. We don't have any interior presence, we don't have an enforcer, we don't have any way to get easy buckets.

So.. LeBron has to take over these games. He did alright, he just came up short.

Not going to blast him for giving his all and missing some free throws in a game where he probably shouldn't have even played.

Fuck outta here with that shit... Punkass regular season game, and we're already in playoff position.. Fuck the Rockets, fuck Harden, Go Cavs!
This......!
