Game 67| Cavs vs. Orlando| March 17th, 2009| 7:00 PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
"You won't see that call again. That, I guarantee you," Van Gundy said. "You will not see, with the game on the line, a 3-second call in the last 10 seconds. That's part of the reason they're 30-1 at home. They're a very good team, and when you get calls like that [expletive], you're in pretty good shape."

Howard, too, felt the Cavs got a break.

"I was very surprised," he said. "I was in the lane and I got out. It seemed like their bench or their coaching staff got into the ref's ear about me being in the lane. Instead of letting the refs make the call, I guess the bench made the call."
.

The Master of Panic strikes again!

Seriously, did a coach actually just complain because the refs made the PROPER call? Usually, coaches complain because superstars get special treatment and don't get called for stuff they should.

So, SVG's actual argument is "That's BS... Dwight Howard should be allowed to stand in the lane as long as he likes if it's in the last 2 minutes."

And it wasn't borderline or anything... Go back and watch. Howard camped for at least 4.5 seconds. At least.

Great win tonight. I didn't want to admit it before the game but I walked into the Q tonight a little nervous about this one. I was almost in a full-blown panic when we were down by 9 late in the third, as my wife can probably attest. But this team always seems to know how to keep its head and never gets too frazzled. They were patient and put the clamps on the defensive side to gut out another impressive win. They aren't all pretty, but they count just the same. And the Q was the loudest I've heard it in a while down the stretch tonight. Just a fun atmosphere. I just wish I could have heard AC & Fred... forgot to set the DVR :(

Does anyone have a photo of the "pretend pregame photo" that LeBron took before tonights game, was defiantly the best one yet? It would be appreciated if you post it!

Magic fans that had to deal with the NBAtv/Fred & Austin broadcast..

Cav announcers on mute for the rest of this game. Wow they are just Cavs fans given a mic.

:chuckles:

My dad actually liked them PIP and he doesnt' care for the cavs.. LOL

My brother was laughing at AC's famous "Throws the hammer down" and he likes the Celtics. I know I know I should have beat on him more when we were younger.

Gotta Love those CAVS! Amazing game and win!

Orlando was able to take the lead because they came out in the third quarter and played good defense and Cleveland looked disinterested. Orlando was in up-tempo mode, while Cleveland was in the watch LeBron zone. They do that from time to time. They still have to play off of LeBron instead of standing around and watching him. Luckily for them, he was able to bail them out.

In the playoffs Orlando could end up being a problem for Cleveland because Cleveland has small guards. Orlando can slide Hedo Turkoglu to the two and he would give Delonte West problems. The Hawks' Joe Johnson is another big two-guard who may give Cleveland headaches.

Cleveland will finish the regular season with the best record in the East. Boston is too banged up and the Cavaliers have 10 more home games where they are an unbelievable 30-1.

I don't like them to go to the Finals, though. Mo Williams is averaging 22 points per game in March and is a great second option, but who is the third option for Cleveland? You can't totally stop LeBron, but if you slow him down and take out Williams, who is going to step up for them? They need a third guy.

Plus, don't underestimate the loss of Ben Wallace. If he can't come back, that is a huge loss. He is a bigger piece than people realize. He does all of the dirty work, takes guys off the boards and is a good one-on-one defender. They have been getting beat up inside without him.

That was a game..it wasn't looking good when the Magic took the lead...it had that feel that it was slipping away..right into Lebron's hands..lol..
It was annoying seeing them get those long shots ..

So previously, the Cavs werent a contender because we didnt have a great second option. Now we have a great second option and we wont go to the Finals because we need a 3rd option.

Right.

My mind. It is boggled. Does anybody watch the games? Stopping Bron alone is near impossible...stopping LeBron and Mo is a tough task for any team in the lead. If Z or D.West have thier shots going, you can pretty much forget about it. Im not saying we are a mortal lock for the Finals, but the reasons listed are somewhere between stupidity and horsecrap.

No, I just took a screenshot from nba.com's highlight reel of last night's game. My seats are good (section 118), but not that good. I could barely see the pre-game photo last night because there were too many people standing on the court between where I sit and where they were standing. All I could see was Delonte in DJ's arms. :gheylaf:
