Our beloved Cavs are still riding shirtless as the sole undefeated team in the league (albeit a few days after an ugly scare).
After being BROKEN in the playoffs by Cavaliers sharpshooters the team have made significant changes. Teague was sent out to make way for the inconspicuous Dennis Schroder and Horford jumped ship for greener pastures.
(inconspicuous)
The chance they took on Dwight Howard appears to be paying off as he appears rejuvenated 6 games into the season. And the inside presence they missed in the Horford era has emerged.
Millsap complaining about the stickum Howard used
Millsap remains one of the most underrated players in the league and what was once a tweener spot is now jaw shattering versatility. Its too bad LeBron has trumped his versatility in such cruel fashion.
The Hawks have considered themselves rivals of the Cavs the last two seasons. They came into the last two postseason matchups quietly confident of their chances. Unfortunately for them, they were not equal to the task. Instead, they were relegated a speedbump. Remaking their team a summer after their latest humiliation does little to curb their dislike for the superior Cavs (8-0 in the playoffs the last two seasons).
Still, it makes for a bad regular season game to play the team that you have ousted so brutally the last two seasons as they will likely invest far more into this game than a team should in G7 of an 82 game season.
