A box and one has the "one" shadowing a given player wherever they go.

A 1-2-2 keeps a basic form with the "one" up high.

No, they're different but can look the same at points. A box and 1 zone is basically the 2-2 portion, where four of the players run a zone that looks similar to a 2-3 zone. One person, however, is assigned the task of guarding someone man-on-man defense the whole time, following them wherever they go.

On the other hand, a 1-2-2 is a zone where someone plays up top, then the 2-2 play at the elbows and blocks. Like I said, if the guy being stuck man is at the top in the box and one they can look the same, but they serve completely different purposes.

Really, really indescribably pathetic effort tonight. What the hell is the matter with this team?

Sloppy, stupid, lazy...just everything that describes a bad basketball team. We look like a worse team than New Jersey right now. I'm in disbelief at the lack of effort on the court right now.

This team looks like they could give a shit less about winning this game and it's pathetic.
