Game 75 | Cavs @ Wizards | April 2, 2009 | 8:00 PM (ET)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I nominate chrisrich91 to take over the Game Day duties from me on 4/8, also vs. the Wizards. Much better than anything I could come up with. Let me know if this is OK and I will add you to the schedule...

:(

The Wizards are the worst team (record-wise) to beat the Cavs this year. It's hard to envision the Cavs will come out and play 3.5 of their worst quarters of basketball all year (like they did in their last visit to D.C.). It is a classic "trap" game with the back-to-back vs. Orlando and the Wizards glittering 17-59 record. But the Cavs have performed extraordinarily well in so-called "trap" games this year, and I doubt they want to end the season no better than .500 against a team they don't like.

I think it will be a physical game, and probably close as well, but I also think we should see a much better effort from the Cavs than their earlier visit. The "crab dribble" is the lasting memory of that first game but that's only because it's easier to focus energy on one controversial late-game moment as opposed to the "crap dribbling and shooting" until Mike Brown got ejected. The Cavs effort until the middle of the 4th quarter of that game was pathetic.

I think they should win pretty easily but who knows....the Wizards always play us tough.

Classic trap game....still believe that we take care of business.

Cool by me!

In the 2 games versus the Wiz this year (a close win and close loss), the Cavs turned it over 16 times in both games and shot a combined 40.7% from the field.

Considering the Wiz are in the bottom 5 in defensive efficiency, points per game allowed and opponents FG%, plus 17 in turnovers caused, I can only assume those were flukes.

If the Cavs shoot 45% and limit the turnovers it's an easy win.

Wait is DeShawn playing this game? I thought he was out. If so, they will not have their regular starting 5.

I'm sure they will start Dominic McGuire as the 2/3 guard/forward.

Delonte has been great defensively against bigger guards overall but I don't know about Caron Butler. Delonte would probably guard McGuire and Lebron on Caron? hmmm

McGuire is pretty good defensively, I wonder if the Wiz would put him on Lebron.

Nick Young usually plays with the 2nd unit and Delonte usually doesn't play against the other teams 2nd unit but for a brief stretch at the end of the 1st and 3rd quarters.

Another Classic Moment in Wiz/Cavs History

He is not playing.

I believe he's done for the season.

Tough game for us with Arenas and Haywood back. It being on national TV, in Washington and against us the Wiz will get up to play this.

That said, Washington played a game yesterday so hopefully fatigue becomes an issue late.

A 4 legged Bovine is getting warmed up for this one. I sure as hell hope there are no cheapshots from these clowns. They still think this is a rivalry (kinda like Browns fans and Steelers!)

Go get 'em guys!

Moo

Would be a good time to slap a big lead on em early. If we're going to have a chance tomorrow in Orlando, the starters could sure use a rest.
