Game 9 | Cavaliers @ Heat | November 12, 2009 | 8:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lol, Reggie Miller continued to flame us all the way to the end of the game...

Terrific game, especially on a back to back.

And for once, I wasn't even ever really on edge as to whether we'd win. I felt like we were in control the whole time, even when the game was tight.

Z less minutes. AV and JJ more minutes. PLEASE.

PS.....where are the JJ haters (JonFromVA)?

Andy was terrible. Z was more functional then him tonight.

Jon didn't hate on Hickson. He was calling it as he seen it (and how I seen it). The dude has stepped up. As a Cavs fan I'm sure Jon is stoked. No hating at all, just realism.

Wade's nuts were so far down Andy's throat on that dunk, Andy probably caught an STD mid-game and never recovered.

Oh well, I'm sure Andy will bounce back. It's tough to play a good game after you get owned like he did though.

Just got finished watching the DVR'd game after my exam. Some thoughts:

Wade gets more touch fouls than 5th grade girl basketball players.

LeBron really started to turn it on after Wade's dunk. Thanks Dwyane! :king:

JJ obviously had the best game of his career, and he really didn't try to do anything. He still got blocked a couple times, but that happens with good/athletic defenders. He is so much more effective than Andy it's not funny, and besides the one alley-oop to Beasley he totally screwed up on, his defense was good.

Shaq really set the tone at the beginning. Jermaine couldn't handle him and the Heat were forced to double team, leading to open looks for our other players.

AV and Z were pretty much garbage. Thank God for JJ.

Moon played outstanding. Didn't do anything out of his capabilities on offense, and played great D. Exactly what we need.

LeBron had that extra bounce in his step tonight, I'm guessing thanks to MJ/Wade. Gilbert should just buy all the most famous celebrities tickets to the games, as we never seem to lose when LeBron is on a mission.

Big props to Mo. If he plays 3/4 as good as he has in the past two games, we'll be hard to beat.

Nice win on a back-to-back... anytime you can pick up consecutive road wins in ORL and MIA you gotta be happy. The defense was a little more porous tonight, but the flashes by Hickson and Moon were nice to see. Mo is continuing his surge. LBJ is LBJ. Shaq has been fairly solid, just got the brunt of some iffy calls tonight. We gotta get Z straightened out offensively. But overall I'm feeling good about things now at 6-3 and this trip out of the way.

Can't wait for the articles tomorrow morning about how the LBJ/Wade post-game embrace is further proof that LBJ will be in a Heat uni next year. I love those stories.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...don't start getting on your knees for JJ just yet...

Sure JJ had a great game, and is starting to look comfortable, but lets not pretend he's better than Andy by any stretch of the imagination.

Andy is having a great year, he just got owned tonight -- happens to everyone in the NBA from time to time.

Nice game. We picked up the D in the second half when we needed to. Miami left their defense in the pre-game warm ups. They are not, and I repeat not, a top elite team.

A coming out party for JJ. This young man will go places.

A great game by Mo. He's playing like he definitely has something to prove.

Good game by Moon as well. He shows lots of spirit and played some good D.

Shaq played well. Have you all noticed how much less other teams get into the paint for easy shots this year?

LeBron was his usual.. LeBron.

TWO Florida wins in TWO days! Take that!!

I'm loving the energy we're bringing now as well as the aggressiveness on offense (don't look now but we've won six of the last seven with the lone loss being a one point defeat), but we need to take care of the ball more. Tonight marks four straight games where the opponents have had fewer turnovers than the Cavs. Over these four games the Cavs are averaging 14.5 turnovers per game, while their opponents are averaging only 10.5 to's per game. But the Cavs are 3-1 over this stretch, however, it's obvious they're winning in spite of this.

In the grand scheme of things, it's not that bad however. Last year through the first nine games the team turned the ball over a total of 119 times (13.2/game). This year through the first nine they've turned the ball over 120 times (13.3/game). And that's not bad considering last year there was really only one new piece, Mo, being worked into the system, whereas this year there are several players. However, unlike last year, they seem to be regressing in terms of taking care of the ball. Just one thing we need to look for the team to clean up, that's all.

Hats off to JJ tonight. Played his ass off again, looking masterful on the offensive end this time. But the real story is Batman and Robin, combining for 59 total points just one night removed from combining for 64 points. Here are their combined averages over the past two nights.

- Mo+LeBron (2 games): 61.5 points, 10.0 assists, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game on 43-78 (55.1%) shooting, including 13-19 (68.4%) from deep!

That's right, over the past two games, LeBron James and Mo Williams have combined for more points from three-point-land alone (39 points) than our entire bench (Z, AV, Gibson, Moon) has scored from the entire field combined over the two game span (27 points). Shooting the lightsss out.

The fact is that JJ was/is doing the same things he was/is doing in the first 7 games, just in a lot more minutes. That's how I see it. To say that JJ was TERRIBLE in the first 7 games is terrible in itself.

Jesus these server issues are really turning me off.

When's the last time Andy scored 18 pts in a regular season game? I have the answer - March 13th, 2009. He did it 3 times all of last year.

You give JJ Hickson Andy's minutes and he scores 18+ 10-15x more games than Andy.

I'm certainly not trying to undermine Andy's game.....he's great for us.....but let's not suck HIS dick either.

I'm not really sure which games you were watching earlier in the season. I am high on Hickson especially after his nice pre season. I am also a realist. The first 3-4 games Hickson looked completely lost and made major mistake after major mistake.

Tonight he still had several mistakes but recovered and made up for it the next time down the court. You could literally see his confidence grow by the minute. He is going to have plenty more bad games but this shows that he does have the potential and the major thing in cases like this is confidence... and that only comes with playing time and experience.

Av has been a proven difference maker and aside from tonight's game is having a stellar season.

Thanks for proving my point all in one lol.

He had mistakes in the first few games.....but he didn't have a chance to recover.

You could see his confidence grow by the minute....because he got more than a minute.

Case closed.
