Game Thread 2019-20 Season Game #29 | Cleveland Cavaliers vs Memphis Grizzles | Dec 20th, 2019

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Team does not look like they hate each other. The ball is moving, guys are really looking like they are buying in. Great resiliency. Winning really can change a lot of bad feelings
Agree. This was an important win because they came from 12 down in the 4th quarter just when it looked like the game was over. I don't think I've seen them do that before. Led by Henson they got stops and with Clarkson's offense and Love hitting a couple of huge 3's they pulled it out.

They've had more than 300 passes in a game for something like five games in a row and I'm sure they exceeded that last night. The ball was really moving. Sexton only took 12 shots - it looked like he was making an effort to look for the open man and he did come away with three assists. He also turned it over a couple of times trying to force it to TT in the paint when he could have put up a shot, but you could see he's trying to pass more.

Six consecutive games with 25 assists or more. It's getting there.

Yeah, he's playing really well, but Kevin Porter, Jr is probably the future for the 2-guard spot. The Cavs need to get bigger up front and I'm hoping they can swap out Thompson and Clarkson for some combination of draft picks and cap space to land a big man who can protect the rim and neutralize the Brook Lopezes and Blake Griffins of the world.

"Everybody is longer than us, everybody is taller than us. It’s just difficult for our guys to see who is open, ball-handling and everything." - Beilein

However.....

"I want to be here in Cleveland. I like what they’ve got going on here in terms of a new coach. This is a lovely place. I love the arena and the culture that we are creating. Hopefully I will be in a Cleveland jersey for a long time." - Jordan Clarkson, 10/22/19

Yeah it would be nice have a big man but we all know the Cavs will draft 6'2" point guard.

They will not. They have their point guard. Just look at Beilein's quote. They know they need to get bigger up front. The win over the Grizzlies illustrated the importance of having a shot-altering presence in the paint.

Love and Thompson have their strong points, but rim protection is not one of them.
