Game Thread 2020-21 Season | Game #15 | Brooklyn @ Cleveland | January 22, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Another team effort where everybody contributed and nobody had a bad game. For the Nets three players (Kyrie, Harden, Green) combined for 70 points; the other eight players combined for 43. They depend so much on their Big Three. The Cavs OTOH scored 125 points and nobody had more than 25 with six in double figures.

The Cavs' offense was outstanding as they shot 51.7% from the field and also drew a ton of fouls, scoring 27 points at the free throw line. Nine Cavs' players got 16+ minutes as JBB kept the fresh legs coming relentlessly and wore down the Nets for the second time in two games.

The Cavs had some great numbers including the 50-29 rebounding edge already mentioned. Their bench outscored the Nets' bench 53-31 and at the end of the game Carr was saying the same thing I've been saying, that the Cavs' may have the strongest and deepest bench in the league. Allen had 19 points in 19 minutes while Prince had 14 points in 22 minutes with a +14.

Windler looked very comfortable in his first game back. Garland struggled a bit offensively as he went 4-for-13 and got a couple of layups blocked, but he hasn't played in nine games.

The Cavs destroyed the Nets at center with Drummond and Allen combining for 38 points and 22 rebounds in 48 minutes. I feel sorry for McGee. The Nets' only center is DeAndre Jordan who had 9 points and 4 rebounds in 26 minutes and committed four turnovers.

The Nets have to be thinking they should have kept Allen and Prince after the two of them combined for 62 points and 27 rebounds off the bench the last two games. A team consisting of Kyrie and Harris at guard, Durant and Prince at forward, and Allen at center with Jordan, Green, and Brown coming off the bench should be pretty good.

This is what I didn't get about the Nets move.

The Kyrie+Durant pairing was JUST put together.

Why not give that duo a chance to win, w/ a legit team around them, before trading away all of your good players and all of your picks from now until 2050?

So impatient.
It’s like teams are so focused on potentially creating a “big three” they don’t stop to think if the three actually make sense.

It's almost as if Brooklyn made a trade just to not let Philly get Harden or something.

You still need to man 5 positions on the floor and have at least a 9-man roster.

If you compare the Cavs and the Nets, the Nets have the top 3 players and the Cavs have 4-10. (With Spencer hurt)

Durant
Harden
Irving
Sexton
Garland
Love
Drummond
Nance
Allen
Cedi

And that's being generous. Could call Prince #11.

That's pretty terrible.

If the Lakers don't get a ring this year or next, LeBron is coming back to play with Sexland and Jarrett Allen, y'all. Lol

I'd absolutely hate to see him on this team, pounding the ball for 15 seconda before going iso, then pointing at his teammates as if it is their fault when he doesn't want to put in the effort on the defensive end.

Destroy everything about likeable about this team.

Then you look at the Cavalier roster construction. Koby targeted Allen and we got him for nothing really, and he fits us perfectly. That second five tonight was devastating. We can play high energy for 48 because we have numbers. We can switch styles because we have offensive and defensive players. We can go big, go small - whatever.

Collin dropped nine dimes - guess the predictions that he can‘t play PG we’re off.

I also think we need to drop this whole idea of a “ceiling”. Sexton doesn’t give any fucks about ceilings - he’s busting his ass to keep raising his ceiling. His example has been followed by the whole team. Cavaliers are now must-see TV and nobody can predict where this ride is going.

how many times are these clueless media clowns going to say we are the worst offensive team, little bit of research wouldnt hurt
