Game Thread 2020-21 Season | Game #36 | Pacers @ Cavs | March 3, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
That's going to be the narrative, and I am a fan of Garland...

But that wont be the reason. This is coaching. Pacers are playing with their ears pinned back... JUST like the Knicks when they beat us by 30. Pacers made an adjustment halfway through the 1st to take away our high pick and roll and we havent adjusted once to their pressure.

They called off the pressure to start the 3rd, and as soon as McConnell came back in, they turned it back on

It's really not Garland at all, honestly.
Reducing the totality of this game if we lose down to only coaching and nothing to do with Garland going down, the team missing open shots they made in the first half, and a ton of careless turnovers is your move to make. I’m fine criticizing JBB ALONG with those other factors. It’s a typical fan move though to just look for one scapegoat(or one here) and ignore the totality of the circumstances

Sexton 30 and 10 with four boards and three steals.

Enjoy it while you can Cavalier fans because the ceiling / destiny crowd insists that he be traded by the deadline. He can’t be our star because he has to be sixth man on an elite team.

Collin’s proven he can come up big in the clutch but we don’t need that either, apparently.

Not a scapegoat, my brother.

Literally making tactical moves to counter the defense is the cause, the things you pointed to (outside of Garland's groin) are all the effect of Bjorken, Thibs, Mike Malone and Brad Stevens recognizing the only offense we have is high pick and roll and we dont have the coaching to counter half court pressure that can easily be countered with passing and motion offenses.

Cause and effect. This is coaching that causes these effects

The fact that we're still competitive is a testament to Collin's will to score despite the pressure and his quickness to attack off the high pick and roll.

He would have made that 3.

Okoro is shorter than Halliburton, who can actually handle the ball.
I know everyone love Okoro, but I would’ve never drafted an undersized defensive specialist at 5.

Another backcourt????

C’mon bruhs C’mon now
