Game Thread | 2020-21 Season | Game #55 | Warriors @ Cavs | April 15, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I dont remember a single soul making a post comparing how much the two of them shoot

Until your post

Lol ok my man.

All of the "Garland is trying to get people involved and Sexton is ball-hogging posts" weren't hinting at that.

Sexton wasn't playing the team game he has been lately. Whole team stopped moving the ball at times though. Garland played better than Sexton, but missed shots.

I thought Allen was terrible, weak getting rebounds and turning the ball over. Okoro did a good job on Curry. Got a hand up properly.

Nance just sucked and took the ball up instead of Sexton and gave up the lead turning it over. Slow tonight

Thought the entire frontcourt was bad tonight.

Allen's boxscore looks good but he wasn't good. He was weak.

Nance.....I don't know what it is with players on this team fucking sulking and pouting when a play doesn't go their way. Nance was in his own head all night and played like a clown.

But there was just a stretch there in the 2nd that the Warriors had a lay-up line. They got the lead to like 11 and the Cavs never really came that close again.

how is this loss sexton's fault? dg-love-okoro was horrible. sexton was trying by himself to get back in the fourth quarter. garland even loses the ball trying to get to the rim. carr was even wishing dg has gotten blocked by wiggins because it gives us back the ball, instead of dg just plainly losing it.

oh the hate for sexton...

To be totally fair, Garland wasn't the reason the offense stalled tonight.

They tried and trie and tried again to get Love looks and he couldn't do a single, solitary with them.

NO clue why they decided to try and play through him tonight.

No, my man. Take them at face value.

He's been playing better off the ball and within himself lately. Missed a game, then tonight he went back to coming to the ball, and standing around off the ball waiting for the ball to come to him before moving on offense.

Garland shot more than Sexton and he used his drive to get open shots for more teammates, so he kept the ball moving when the Warriors played him for his drive/floater

This isnt about who's taking more shots

When did that happen?

Name me one play where Garland found an open teammate on a drive.

He's back to his tunnel vision once he gets in the lane. He's not seeing the court at all from there.

Without thinking twice, he use dhis drive to get a wide open 3 for Love at the top of the key that Love missed around 4 min mark of the 4th

He also used his drive to get a hockey assist where the next pass resulted in either Nance or Prince hitting a open 3 in front of the Warriors bench maybe a few possessions before

Those are just off the top of my head. I can compile them for you once I get the archive. Some were missed but I saw no less than 4-5 wide open that he created where the Warriors came to contest his drive for the score and he found an open teammate

"Garland uses his really inefficient floater to get his teammates open" is a new take, I admit.

No team actually is afraid of Garland going to the rim so I'm not sure how it works in real time.

I literally gave you a play, which is what you asked for

I can actually show you where the Warriors converge on his drive and leave shooters, but at this point, it's obvious that you not seeing it is willful

(shrugs)

Let's hope Sexton adjusts when he sees himself on video bogging things down. On to Chicago

They may converge and he almost, to a drive, never manages to kick it out.

Now I'm sure somewhere in that game there's play where he does it.

There was a play where Sexton did it only it was to an open Delly who can't shoot.

More times than not, Garland is looking to shoot a floater when he gets into the lane.

Which is a poor shot for him.

I don't actually think Garland was one of the primary problems tonight. But watching the Garland fan club somehow blame Sexton for that game tonight is...something.

Allen was weak and kept turning the ball over. Nance was non-existent and the Love/Prince defensive combo gave up an endless lay-up line in the 2nd quarter than blew the game open.

A game that went to shit, real fast.
I hate watching them lose to that team, especially when they either kept a lead or kept it close for a good deal of the game.
Would have really loved to have KPJ on a night like this. Better get a player like that in this upcoming draft.
Guess it's time for the new look Bulls.

I will say this, before heading for bed,you have Love throwing one of his tantrums because he's getting destroyed on defense. Then, you have Nance pouting because he can't get a foul call..

Don't let me start, how Love and Prince tried to score when Sexton was open but I guess that's Sexton's fault that they turnover the ball..

I don't understand, why JB kept Sexton on the bench way too long when he was hot in the first quarter. It makes no sense at all.

Garland is throwing up shots fans usually kill Sexton for but nobody won't say nothing about it.

Like,I said a few days ago, this team needs to revamp the bench because it's too inconsistent. One minute they're playing great and the next they're act like they can't score.

Somehow,Sexton gets all the blame from fans.

The next 8 games will make or break our season, all against fellow struggling east teams.
I suggest starting Garland, Okoro, Wade, Love, Allen with Sexton off the bench to come in and abuse opposing teams bench but I doubt it will happen, we will probably continue with the tiny back court that causes so many issues on defense

The season has been over for a good long while, my guy.
