Game Thread 2020-21 Season | T-Wolves @ Cavs | February 1, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One feeling I got from this game was that offensive rebounds always turned into points, for the Wolves. For us, they turned into turnovers.

We each got 15 offensive rebounds. I don’t know the second-chance points numbers, but I remember at least a couple of sequences early in the game where we got multiple offensive rebounds on a possession, but still did not score.
Half our offensive rebounds were Cedi slapping the ball at the rim

A win is good. But man.... did I ever notice the ball not going into a black hole on offense.

Missed the game tonight but I see Allen had a real nice game! My only question is (and be honest and objective) did the Cavs guards force feed the ball into Allen down low like they seem to do with Dre AND did Allen bring the ball up court like Dre does? Just wondering!

Neither. All within the natural flow of ball movement

So what we’re saying is when Dre is in the lineup it’s Bickerstaff that’s calling for the force feeding of Dre down low and allowing Dre to bring the ball up court? If that’s the case you can’t put the blame at Dre’s feet!

That game was like shitting out a stale baguette: It was was way more difficult than it needed to be, it kind of stank, one was glad when it was just OVER, and it will take some time before one really feels clean again, what with all the crumbs.
Further describe this time you shat out a whole, stale baguette.

the season started off with this kind of offense and Sexton was looking like he was taking the leap for real. "Sexland" looked like more than a meme.
Which is why I somehow believe that some of these really bad, non-injury related losses felt like tanking. The "Clarkson dominating the ball" kind.

I still can't believe the Cavs were able to capitalize on the thirst of Brooklyn to seal the deal on Harden to get Jarrett Allen on this team. That is fortune not usually bestowed upon Cleveland sports.

On another note, I laughed out loud when Sexton shoved Russell off him with no call. He was truly sick of the dumb stuff that night.

Well, much like this game, it gets stuck in your ass on the way out, and you have to help it along. And all the nooks and crannies in the crust are really hard on the sphincter. But I see the analogy with last night’s game start to break down.

It was a 2-point win at home against one of the worst teams in the league missing their best player by far but there were a lot of encouraging things for the future. As a Cav executive put it, "Our vision has just come to life."

If Drummond is not in the long term plans it's probably best to deal him now. Drummond can show out for a new team and the Cavs can move on with Allen. Maybe they could save a few bucks on an extension keeping Allen as a backup but the cat's already out of the bag on this young man and he's going to get paid regardless..

And many more turnovers.
Can’t argue with that. Dre averages 3.5 TOs a game, Garland 2.8 and Sexton 2.5! Those stats show why we struggle so much in game! The three players that are considered three of our top players lead the team in turnovers! Not a good recipe for sustained success!
