Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #13 | Pistons @ Cavs | Nov. 12, 2021

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I'm not impressed Boobs

I see a guy who is being given the ball at pg with the ultimate greenlight and then being hid on defense and he's not making the game easier for any of his teammates as a 6'5 pg

He's herky jerking his way to un-impactful scoring numbers so he can get his footing but I just see a 3rd starter ceiling unless he grows another speed or gains some athleticism somehow.
His size is definitely underwhelming which lowers his ultimate ceiling but he’s a shooting guard long term not a lead ball handler. He’s a 3 level scorer though. He should quit trying to be mini-LeBron. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he could be Khris Middleton if things go right. Lol. So a number 2B if your number 1 is Giannis…

lol

Yahoo got the game for free.

The crazy thing is and a huge reason why i don’t get players like Ben Simmons, Okoro and other non shooting wings is of you dedicate one summer to shooting you will get better. I never understood having NBA level shooting coaches and still being bad at shooting after multiple off seasons

Good comp

I can see him giving us Middleton by the time he's 24/25 entering his prime

Good call

Yuck as #1 overall

Way too much bitching about Okoro when the team is up 11.

Like, come on guys. A post or two but it's 3 straight pages.
He’s the main reason the lead is only 11

I don’t think it should be taboo to speak on it

Dean Wade has made a few nice dimes the past two games but otherwise is invisible on offense. Okoro was brutal. Windler 1/3 from three including two bricks off the rim and has an assist. Stevens only played a minute.

Offense is pretty much the two bigs, Cedi and the PGs. That’s it - only five players.

So glad JB is keeping Cedi in his comfort zone. When Cedi plays within himself he’s a solid contributor.

Rough night for the Garland haters. Allegedly not a shooter or scorer but he has 12 points.

Right now we can count on:

- Mobley, Allen and Garland as starters
- Okoro on D only - stinks on O because due to injuries he’s being asked to do more than he’s capable of right now
- Cedi off the bench
- Rubio as a super sub

rest of the team right now is weak.

We need to get Love & Markk back soon to get some points and make offensive deficiencies of Okoro less of an issue.

To be clear, I want all our young guys to grow into productive players.

I want to win.

But Okoro.... I mean he's Tony Allen..

Which might be fun if it was 2007

I'd rather read 3 pages of that than trading Rubio or how the team can't make 3pts

Josh Jackson so far tonight has me wondering how much the Pistons would want for him and if hes put down the booze yet. He’s nothing special but he is a legit 6’7.5 and can do a couple things on the basketball court and his team stinks.

A lot of reactionary takes on Okoro in here. He'll be fine. He's already elite defensively and decent in transition. Other facets of his game will come in time. Dude has a voracious work ethic.

Taboo?

It's page after page. Barely any talk at all of aynthing else going on in the game.

Okoro isn't good. He knows he's not good .Everyone knows it.

We can keep the conversation moving to some different shit once in a while.

This is literally how Okoro moves on offense.

He's basically Kareem Hunt, except Hunt is probably a better shooter.

Dean is useless as a 3 unless he is surrounded by guys that can create for themselves. If not, his defender gets in his jersey and eliminates his offensive game.
