Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #14 | Celtics @ Cavs | Nov. 13, 2021

Rubio saved the game.

Even when they were down big he understood what no one else on the team did.

If he didn't shoot it, then someone else, someone worse, was going to. And so he forced shots. And sometimes that's just what you have to do to shake a team loose.

So he took some bad shots because that's what the team needed. Someone to just force some bad shots, as opposed to doing absolutely nothing with the balll for 20 seconds and panicking at the end of the clock.
Boston's shooting collapse sponsored by Jabari saved the game

Mobley is 16 points, 8 rebs and 1.5 blocks on 53% shooting and 33.3% from 3.

An still not old enough to shave yet. Seruiously, 20 year old rookie with 14 pro games under his belt and he is this fucking good already.

He will fill out, he will get better, shooting, foot work, somehow the defense will improve (not sure how, but it will)

Exciting stuff.

Okoro and Valentine have no right being ahead of Windler or Cedi in the lineups. Wade probably shouldn't either... But I'm good with him starting so we can have a bit of offense on the bench. Once Lauri, Love and Sexton are back (and if we don't make any moves), Windler better still get minutes. IDGAF.

Windler needs to get some props. For some reason he was benched to close the game with 7 minutes to go.

He makes the offense move because of his high iq. He crashes the boards. He defends. He doesn't get any credit from the coach.

I hope jbb notices him this time.
One of the reasons why I want him in the starting lineup especially over Okoro.

Thought that was the reason for why Valentine was getting minutes. Need someone to do something when no one else could/would. Don't understand keeping him on the court after the momentum shift, Tatum was just chucking the whole game. Valentine played with effort to fight over screens but did little to effect Tatum.

no idea how valentine got those minutes instead of windler. I almost wonder if he has some sort of consecutive minute restriction given his injuries? No idea, but can’t think of any other good reason.

agreed. his limited minutes saved the Cavs' asses. What he pulled off to get that extra possession late...

I want to see him and Cedi swapped in this lineup until Lauri and Co. get back.

Sam Mitchell just said Mobley reminds him of Bosh. I have been saying that since before we drafted him. Said mostly Bosh's game, but as good defensively as AD. But AD wasnt this good of a defender as a rookie...i would say best defensive big man since Duncan.

He might not be quite as good as Duncan, but he is looking awfully close....amazing.

Yea that's a good point.

Valentine took some horrible shots but someone needed to.

Fuck that place.

Yeah some asshole comes in the Guardian section and acts like he fucking knows everyting just because he works in pro baseball. Fuck him, I know a ton more about baseball than him.

2 guys above me who haven't watched Tatum play all season.

I'd probably offer a lot of Tatum just because of the potential but....I think he's probably the most overrated player in the NBA currently. He's considered a superstar and he absolutely isn't one.
you did call it. He's been ass this season, and for most of this game he looked like it. Would have been hot if the Cavs let him be the Celtics' "Kuzma"

I dunno this is pretty crazy but Bosh seems like a low ceiling.

Bosh didn't develop a 3 point shot until he played with Miami.

He was never this good defensively and wasn't even ballpark this close his rookie year.

Valentine had some good minutes tonight and was mostly awesome defending Tatum.
