Game Thread | 2021-2022 Season | Game #48 | Knicks @ Cavs | Jan. 24, 2022 | 7:00 p.m.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man I disagree about Mobley tonight.

His FTs have left him and yes, that's a big issue, but he grabbed a bunch of offensive boards tonight and defended at a high level all night.

Two straight games where he had over 12 boards.

They won’t do this but man I would debate maybe sitting Mobley and Garland Wednesday since the following game isn’t till Sunday and both look sluggish and really tired
I have tickets to that game, so please no...I’d rather not watch a practice squad out there.

Plus he did a great job grabbing defensive rebounders when needed. Good to see other areas of his game that his improving.

Teams have scouted Mobley to do his spin move and double him causing turnovers, not to mention the lack of spacing with okoro and rondo.
Anymore whenever Mobley or Cedi put the ball on the floor I immediately expect a turnover.

At one point Love had 20-11 in 20 minutes. He's an insane per36 player (with Rubio), Rondo set him up a little bit today.

Grey area/nuance with a lot of these guys.

Agree fully w/ you about Mobley tonight. He still defended well and rebounded tonight(at least in the second half, I missed the first) with authority.

Okoro is a guy tonight who whole some people complained loudly about the lack of spacing lack of a 3P shot. But at the same time, he still got us several buckets, rebounded well enough for a guard today, had two assists, and block, played really good defense, and had the team high +/- tonight with +18

in 9 minutes Windler had 2 points and was a -9 in the plus/minus.
Stevens was a -16 in 15 minutes
Mobley was a -10

Individual stats:

Starters:

Mobley 15-12-5 in 38 minutes Knicks really played him physically and disrupted our interior offense.
Wade 13-5-0 with 3 steals in 35 minutes Great minutes from our reserve!
Davis 2-6-2 in 17 minutes. More good minutes off our bench.
Okoro 14-6-2 with a great block on Barrett in 33 minutes
Garland 13-2-12 with 2 steals in 39 minutes. Poor shooting night, he missed several he usually makes. Knicks were rough with him too.

Bench: 38-20-8 in 24 minutes. We needed every bit of their contribution.

Love 20-11-3 with a steal in 24 minutes off the bench. Outstanding, 6-12 from 3
Osman 0-1-2 in 11 minutes His shooting was off again. He made 2 nifty passes.
Rondo 8 4-3 with a steal in 18 minutes
Stevens 8-2-0 in 15 minutes
Windler 2-2-0 in 9 minutes

While the close grind it out wins are nice, I expect us to get railed by Milwaukee on Wednesday. We just don’t look like the same team we were before the new year without Rubio and with teams having a better grasp of how to defend us.

We need a secondary creator/shooter we can rely on.
