And the hits keep coming! Here's an Allen highlight:

What a game. Down over 20. Got it under 15. No doubts after that.

What I like about this team in games like these is the way players just make an impact on winning basketball, regardless of counting stats. Mobley was HUGE in the 4th. LeVert has closer ability. Rondo was really helping.

Bought the jersey as soon as the number was confirmed. It finally came in the mail today.

Keep it going.

LaVert gets his first Cavs highlight video!

I'm super excited to see him play once he's fully enmeshed in the offense. He's such a talented scorer with the ball, but we've got DG and Rondo who I think will make some shots for him as well. I think he was only assisted on one of these baskets and from what I could tell watching him he wasn't very active off the ball yet. I think once he gets used to the offense he'll look even better. Thankfully his best skill, scoring with the ball, is more than enough to make a big impact and we saw that tonight.

The Pacers have to be wondering what it takes to beat the Cavs. First they blow a 20-point lead, now 21. That was a phenomenal effort to claw their way back after a disastrous first quarter where the Pacers were 10-for-12 on 3's and scored 47 points against the league's top scoring defense.

By quarters the Pacers scored 47, 27, 22, and 17 points. The Cavs defense just kept getting better and better. It was like watching a python slowly choke its prey to death. The Pacers only scored 39 in the second half after 74 in the first. For the game the Cavs had 12 steals and 7 blocks. Outstanding defense after the first quarter.

The bench bailed the Cavs out as Rondo, Love, and Cedi combined for 45 points, 11 boards, and 9 assists. Rondo was especially impressive with 17 points on only 7 shots along with 7 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. The 35-year-old played 33 minutes. He better hope Garland can go tomorrow.

LeVert came up huge down the stretch with four field goals when the game was hanging in the balance. He was 4-for-4 in the 4th quarter against the team that just traded him. That had to feel good

Love had 14 points and drew two big charges. Jarrett Allen had 22 and 14 including 6 offensive rebounds. Okoro made all six of his free throws and was a team high +11 for the second straight game. Did I mention he's now made 33 of his last 38 free throws?

The key to the comeback, in addition to clamping down on defense, was eliminating fast break points off turnovers. The Pacers outscored the Cavs in the first half in points off turnovers by 14 and led by 11. The Cavs had a lot of awful passes in the first half but they took great care of the ball after halftime.

I thought Indiana was tanking when they traded LeVert and Sabonis, but it didn't look like it tonight. Haliburton had a tremendous game and I'm very impressed with Duarte. I also like Brissett, who had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. When the Pacers get Brogdon and Turner back to go along with Haliburton, Duarte, Hield, Brissett, and Jackson they'll have a lot to work with. They'll also get a lottery pick. Jalen Smith, who was the #10 pick in the draft two years ago, is also looking like he has a lot of potential.

But tonight belonged to the Cavaliers as they just clawed their way back into the game and broke the Pacers' back in the 4th quarter, holding them to 17 points while scoring 32. Unfortunately they used up a lot of energy, both physical and emotional, to pull this off and now they have to play in Philly tomorrow.
