I sure hope not. By no means am I saying you are wrong just that I look at our upcoming schedule and without Garland, LeVert, and Rondo things would look very bleak imo

I just think the organization has decided giving him the requisite rest and rehab to let him fully heal, if you include a very low octane 10 or so days for the all star break with only a couple very low effort performances overall..that puts him at nearly a month of rest and rehabilitation..possibly enough to fix this bone bruise issue…this might be the only chance to get him right for the stretch run and the playoffs. It does suck that LeVert and Rondo are hurt simultaneously but we have to protect Garlands body not just for the stretch run this year but for the future. He’s our most important player. You don’t mess with back issues. You don’t turn deep bone bruises into him over compensating and hurting his knee, or hurting his back even worse.

I think the org has made the decision to keep Garland off the court until he’s in the best shape he can possibly be in this season and I think they’re just slow rolling us on it. I think they’ll keep him out the next two and say update is coming..then update him as day too day and questionable And keep him out for 2-3 more games then he will come back, and he will sit one leg of each remaining back to back. We have 22 games left. I think we see Garland in about 13-15 of them. In the 7-9 we have without him…if we can even sniff .500..which would have been easier without the two freak LeVert and Rondo injuries…we will be fine.

I was just looking at that schedule. If the earliest we get help is the Indiana game, we are going to have to play a lot better to steal one of the next 4.
Absolutely agree!
It is just unbelievable to me how all of the Cleveland teams have been devastated by injuries this season (Tribe, Browns, and Cavs). Yikes has it made things very tough

Milwaukee lost to the Nets! We're solidly in 4th place, 3.5 out of 1st.

Don't worry, we have Frazier on the way.

Garland likely is out for the same 2 week period LeVert and Rondo will be out for. Dont expect him back any sooner .
Why do you say that? Do you have some inside information about his health and recovery period?

I dont have anything solid to 100% report, but Ive heard whispers.

I know the org thinks that 2 weeks of straight up rest and rehab might get him back to 100% or as close to 100% as he can possibly get this year. I know Garland doesnt wanna miss that much straight gametime. They've known this since before all star. Even though he played the rising stars and some of the ASG they feel like he didnt exert himself much and most of the ASB for him was pretty much rest and he still got his rehab in regularly.

I know that they think if they can steal 2 weeks of rest right now it would be the best thing for him long term this year and for the future.
I know that Levert and Rondo going down for 1-2 weeks each at the same time has really made things tough. But they did sign a veteran guy Frazier to a 10 day...and as of now those 10 days will basically be what we need to get the others back.

I think if the team continues to grind out some wins, they will continue to sit Garland. If the team were to free fall into another losing streak he may come back a few games sooner...but the win tonight REALLY helped in that regard.

So I dont know for sure, I just think they wanted him to sit for 2 weeks but instead of announcing he was out for 2 weeks as soon as AS weekend was over, they are playing it like this, saying he will be reevaluated in a couple of days...which can easily turn into just under a week...and then another day or two for whatever the update is to circulate...then they can move him to game time decisions but still sit him for another week without too much fuss..and before you know it he sat for 2 weeks and maybe got his back in much better condition. Just how i see it.

No pun intended, but this was a good win.
Because it was looking to be another horrendous loss.
The management of Goodwin and Cedi (defacto backup facilitator) was good.
I'm glad that Lauri Markkanen is back. 2 games in, he looks very much to be where he was before that unfortunate injury.
Kevin Love suffers the most when the guards are out. Rondo especially is good about finding Kevin in the best place. Everyone else tried, but the Wizards defenders had more anticipation of Kevin's "bird-catching".

Defense saved the game, and that's what Cavs basketball is. Amazingly Okoro went into "Cleveland RTA Bus Driver" mode and kept Kuzma in jail when the Cavs needed him to do so the most.

Really do wish there were more opportunities to get Isaac to bust up the paint plugging from the outside. Thankfully, Lauri is healthy.

Most frustrating thing was watching the Cavs work the Wizards all the way down the clock defensively only for them to make the most bullshit contested shots (Kuzma especially).

Kuzma hit three 3s that were tightly contested. Two of them were over a fully extended Mobley. That's 9 points. He hit four 2s with fully extended defenders in his face, two of them were Mobley. That's 8 points.

That is 17 bullshit points right there from Kuzma alone.

I know this is redundant but If and when Okoro develops offensively He is going to be a heckuva player.
I would say the IF is bigger than the WHEN at this point. Hope I'm wrong.

But there was a possession in the 4th quarter where he had the ball on the perimeter with nothing happening and he just decided to take it to the hole. He muscled his way to the rim, shouldered his man out of the way, and got the layup. I'd like to see a little more of that from him.
