Yes fans are an emotional and passionate bunch. But I don’t understand all the criticism against JBB here, the talk about firing him and all that. We just have to look at what the Cavs have been able to achieve this season. When JBB saw what he had on his team at the start of the season, he came up with the big 3 idea and said to himself ok the only way this team can succeed is to concentrate on defense (Mobley coming in was an important part of that). He saw the energy, enthusiasm, chemistry this young group had and was able to make them play hard defense. JBB is the architect of this team’s identity. We should give him credit for that. Plus also consider that it is easy to criticize any coach after games. When something didn’t work, we say, JBB should’ve done this instead of doing what he did. If a player gets a basket, the coach did nothing wrong, if a player fails to do so, the coach is no good. I’m not saying he never makes mistakes. All coaches do. But as long as the players are on board with him, I want to see JBB steer the ship. There will be time when he is not the Cavs coach anymore. But for me, that time hasn’t come yet, not even close.
