LeVert has just been awful tonight. Not defending. Just fouling. Even when hes made moves hes gotten 0 separation and 0 good looks on his own, and missed the one good look Garland got him in the corner. Only points were a bailout bounce on a shot he missed short.

Picking LeVert over Derrick White was a disaster.

Derrick White is a better player imo.

Since going to Boston Derrick White is shooting 38% from the field and 22% from 3.

I've been watching Boston because I like White and thought that was a good pickup.


He ain't the guy making the difference. He's been bad. Watch them.

And he cost more than LeVert.

And he's got a longer contract.

We should be looking to move on from both. If you think our defense is bad now, imagine adding Sexton to the mix. He also doesn't solve our lack of playmaking or off ball shooting. Committing to a major extension with either him or LeVert would be a massive mistake that would kill our ability to maximize the roster around the only three guys on the roster we should be looking to keep - Garland, Allen, and Mobley. The rest need to go.

Garland was the engine of the team most of the season.

His poor play is just not something we can overcome without Sexton and Rubio.

Gaining experience as you move up each level is a process. He is going to have to learn to adjust during different parts of the game or entire games based on the defensive intensity and strategy against him. Second half to the season games against good teams focusing on you are different than wide open games earlier and he's going to have to learn how to see the game that is from of him and play the appropriate approach for the game.

These are the type of things that happens a guy moves from young player to early prime with 4-5 years of experience in the league.
