Game Thread | Game #34 | Raptors @ Cavs | Dec. 23, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Not sure THIS game is the one to hammer JB. There's plenty of other games where he deserves it more. This one is more on Altman and roster construction. It's no secret that big wings light us up. It just so happens the Raptors have an unlimited amount of them.
Our starters were over helping which left their shooters wide open for the corner threes.

It's completely on both. Rotations are horrible and seeing Neto in there making an effort means the coaching is soft on starters who are just allowed to do whatever the want, including not try. Not putting in a guy like Diakite against a lanky, high effort team while exclusively guarding Siakam using Okoro, Garland, Caris and sometimes Allen... Not drawing plays up to get around the high effort of the Raptors after already playing them 2 games this season... They've literally played the exact same way against us all 3 games. And our strategy has changed a total of zero times.

Holy shit our bench is bringing us back!!!

LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LET'S FUCKING GO NOW

Crowd deserves a comeback

What make you think that? I think it's the complete opposite. In the playoffs the refs tend to swallow their whistles do I would expect an even bigger beatdown. As others have said the Raptors are physical often times dirty team and we are... A finesse team that's soft as Charmin. I'm praying we don't meet them in the playoffs because they have given me no hope we can win
A lot of things:

-I don’t believe the Raptors and their opponents are officiated even close to equally in the regular season. They get away with a lot more then the teams they play do.

-They’re a bad 3 point shooting team that’s gotten hot against the Cavs a few times. That regresses to the mean.

-They’re mentally soft. Barnes and Siakam don’t handle adversity well.

-Mitchell is by far the best player on either team and that’s very important.

Yea, you know denial is real thing when people convince themselves that there'd be a TIGHTER whistle in the playoffs. This team just owns us. Simple as that.
The real problem is, this team needs to learn how to grab arms, scratch eyelids, and throw elbows. And when your opponent comes out clawing and grabbing, you need to dish it right back at them, period. We never play that way, our guys are finesse players. And as I type this Love cuts the lead to 13.

Our starters played like dog shit. What game are you watching?

They're about to be 0-3 against Toronto. A 14-18 team. Unless you believe Toronto is more talented than the Cavs, the starters aren't the problem. They aren't the ones starting Okoro. They aren't the ones that watch Siakam switch onto Okoro, Stevens, LeVert, and DG at will from a bird's eye view. They aren't the ones bringing Kevin Love in to watch him get abused while Diakite (who did a good job against Tobias Harris) sits on the bench.

Love on fire

Like AC always says...just get it to 10 by the end of the third quarter :chuckle:

One fucking red Jersey among 4 white ones and the 45 year-old Thaddeus Young is the one that gets the board

Unbelievably bad defense by Levert. Get the fuck out of here.

Piscal looking like prime LeBron
