Game Thread | Game #39 | Suns @ Cavs | Jan. 4, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The Cavs hit the road for a game against 24-13 Denver on Friday so it wouldn’t surprise me if they decided to give Garland and Mobley another two days of rest against a very beatable opponent at the end of a long road trip.
With the Cavs not being back home until the 16th, I'm guessing Ricky, Dean, Darius and Evan will all be back on the court during this road trip. Sure would look good to see the whole team in uniform

Is Wade this close?? I thought I read somewhere that he may miss the season due to it being a grade 3 shoulder sprain.

I hadn't heard that. He was supposed to be back about now according to initial reports (it was a 3-4 week rehab). There was some video of him getting up shots the other day, so I'm hoping its not an all season thing.

So now we've gone to "players can play 82 games a year" to "well, maybe some should rest on back end of back to back" to now, apparently "our healthy strong 26 year old guy played 50 minutes two nights ago so maybe we should sit him." Please. I don't think so.
Yea... that's not how the body works. No mater how bad you want it to

That will help us with the Suns. They have no defense against him except Ayton, who'll be busy with Allen. Go high low with those two and we can shoot 50% all game.

They talked about Wilt because of the 71 point game and pointed out he averaged 48 min one year when he literally sat only 8 min of the season but got to 48 from overtimes and something like 48.5 another year where he played more overtimes.

That is so mindblowing to me that he was on the court all the time. He was regarded as lazy sometimes, so maybe he took it really easy while on the floor for substantial periods.

It must have sucked to be on the opposing team waiting to make a run while the best player on the other team was out and it just never came all season.

DM has been soaking his wrist since Monday!
He’ll only score 10 points tonight :)

Dylan has been doing the same…. For an entirely different reason…

LOL! Wilt didn't 'take it easy'. That era played at a faster pace. Everyone ran and scores were 120-130 very frequently. Now, he did 'take it easy' when he had 5 fouls. He never fouled out. So he wouldn't take chances on defense when that happened.

But the season he averaged 50 ppg, the Philly Warriors were running all the time. He'd start the break, run down and get the ball on the secondary break.

Yayyy Mobley and Okoro !! When Wade and Rubio get back, I hope Stevens is buried on the bench.
