Game Thread | Game #50 | Cavs @ Rockets | Jan. 26, 2023

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The only way that works if he gets cut/brought out like the Pacers did. Rule was made after the league bitched about us trading Z and having him come back shortly later. Otherwise He would have to wait a year.

No it's the other way. If a guy gets bought out he can't resign with the team that traded him for a year. That's what happened with Z.

If his contract just expires because it's his last year, he can.

The Knicks beat Boston and Detroit beat Brooklyn. Gotta love that.

The Cavs take care of business without Mitchell but the Rockets didn't have KPJ, Tate, or Gordon. Still, it's a road win and those have been tough to come by. Great to see Wade playing excellent defense and getting 15 points in 23 minutes.

The Cavs' starters were +17 to +23 with the exception of Okoro.

I don't believe the Rockets only got 10 offensive rebounds. I thought they had that many in the first half.

Sengun was impressive with a line of 14/7/7 against Allen. Tari Eason, a 6'8" rookie who was the #17 pick this year, had a great game with 18 points and 11 boards in 25 minutes off the bench. Okoro did a defensive number on Jalen Green, however, holding him to 2-for-9 and six points, with none in the second half.

Offseason can not replicate live game action. With a 30 point lead he sure as hell can and should be taking those shots. I'm glad you're not the coach.
This team wastes far too many possessions on poor decision making and it's far more important that it get in the habit of making good decisions than it is for Mobley to hit a three. We're 50 games into the season and he's shown zero improvement. We're not rebuilding. We're competing and we're at the part of the season where it's time to tighten things up.

Agree to disagree. It's not poor decision making if it's an intentional effort to get live game reps to develop a skill in a game you have in the bag. One of these nights those shots are going to start dropping and when that starts happening, it will be a huge positive for the team.

Wade is literally the last and only answer at SF current on this squad. If he can give us 70 percent of Lauri production it would be a miracle for this team as outside options are going to hella pricey. I would keep draft stock and cap room into the off-season after we get swept in the first round and reevaluate then, rather then trade for some mediocre player like Tim Hardest JR that gets us no where but cap
hell.
I thought THJ would have to come WITH an asset?

If we're going to practice during a live game, then we should be practicing the things we need to do against good teams in close games.

Garland was still in the game well into 4th quarter. Despite being on minute restrictions both Rubio and Wade had to come back in. All of Cedi, Stevens, and Mobley bricking up 3s resulted in wasted possessions that allowed the Rockets to trim 10 points off the lead.

Read Mobley's stat line.

Wade had a great game, 4-7 from 3, took the shot when he was open and hit over half of them,
