Without VanVleet last night the Raps only got 95 against the Pistons. Gary Trent Jr, a shooting guard, started at the point. They used a 25-year-old undrafted rookie guard named Jeff Dowtin Jr who scored 4 points in 20 minutes.

The Pistons are 29th in scoring defense at 119 points per game, but they held Toronto to 24 points under their norm. Whatever they did the Cavs need to do the same thing.

These guys always come out and get physical with the Cavs who immediately shrink under the physicality and allow the Raptors to control the game. I hope I’m wrong but after seeing THREE games against these guys and no adjustment by JBB I don’t see the outcome changing.

I hate this Toronto team who caused our injuries from the get go. Going to be tough but I want to beat them tonight.

Time for this team to man up for once. Lets note the Cavs struggles against the crappy Spurs/Bulls was really a sign of the dysfunction on this team. Outside the Pelicans, we have not played a complete game in weeks.

I hope the Cavs had this game circled after the last three games against Toronto.

This will be a challenge and a mini barometer for Cleveland. I wanna see them rise to the occasion and beat the damn Raptors. The baggage of the losing streak is a factor but the main one for this game is the recent history between these teams.

That just tells me that Jeff Dowtin Jr will go 7 of 9 from 3 and have his career best game tonight

Man, Nurse really needed a legitimate center. Jakob Poeltl was good as a Raptor, but Pops has made him mentally more decisive.

That said, the Cavs had a tough last two opponents while the Raptors played the Pistons twice and took on some below .500 teams at home. We are their biggest challenge so far since the deadline.
