The x-factor in this game to me is Garland. I believe NY is going to focus their efforts on doubling Mitchell, and they are going to try and make Garland or an open Okoro beat them.

An open Garland will beat them by himself. Expect 40-50 from Garland if they do that the whole game.

Even double-teaming Mitchell, he can escape, by the way--splitting the double-team or going around one player or the other.

So, if the Knicks are at full strength, who guards who? Garland on Grimes, Mitchell on Barrett, Okoro on Brunson, Mobley on Randle, Allen on Robinson? I think that's our best bet, but we are giving up a lot of size in the starting lineup. LeVert playing starter minutes should help some.

The Cavs are in a different category defensively compared to the Knicks and that gap widens in 4th quarter defense. I fully expect to be frustrated for three quarters most games before we put the clamps on. I also expect that Mobley and DG win us a game each offensively in the 4th.

The way we clamp down in the 4th and how we are undefeated on OT, it makes me wonder if we have been half-assing it most of the time. Maybe, just maybe we are MUCH better than what the regular season record.
