I don't like words "at least"
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Browns are bracing themselves for at least eight games without Josh Gordon <a href="http://t.co/TFqTS1ANMB">http://t.co/TFqTS1ANMB</a></p>— Mary Kay Cabot (@MaryKayCabot) <a href="https://twitter.com/MaryKayCabot/statuses/496839228349620225">August 6, 2014</a></blockquote>

If he gets less than a year, can he still practice but just not play in games?
Eh, any reduction will be nice until Gordon fails another test, gets his next DUI, etc. This test could have well been borderline but none of the other smoke in regards to Gordon suggests he is taking any of this seriously enough. Just delaying the inevitable.
^ absolute bullshit.
Is it though? I mean, how many failed drug tests has Gordon already had in his short playing career, both in college and the NFL? How many second, and third, and fourth chances does he need to have before people realize he needs to suffer a major consequence in his life in order to get help and change his behavior?
What exactly does he need help with? A major consequence for smokin trees?
In the words of my grandpappy that's poppycock.

# of games for the suspension is irrelevant.
I do think that he still has a chance to turn it around, but it's clear he needs a kick in the ass to do it & some serious help. He's still making absolutely stupid decisions. He shouldn't even be in this position right now. That's the point.
Or...you do something like this - have a players union meeting and call it out for the worthlessness it is, speaking on behalf of caffeine in this instance.
To each his own.
Or, just go beat your wife for a lesser suspension.
Precisely.....
What help does he need? I'm still trying to figure that out. However, it's his own fault for being in this position. He needs to get some help & it's pretty clear that he's not going to change or grow up on his own.
