I don't want him, don't care if he's 30 or 24 years old. He's had multiple microfracture surgeries, knees are just about shot. I don't ever want to get as desperate for talent like the Minnesota Timberwolves. They signed Brandon Roy to a two-year, $10.4 million deal. So far, he's played a whopping total of 4 regular season games.
Sure, I feel bad for both Roy and Oden, but the reality of the situation is both of their careers are over. If both of them decide to make yet another comeback, there could be serious consequences for their health down the road.
There are multiple teams out there that will be interested in Oden, only way Cavs can make a run at Oden is to overpay. Well, ain't that the story of Cleveland sports.
I think you're being a little dramatic here. Sure the Wolves took a shot with Roy, but it's not like that move set their franchise back years or anything. They took a shot on a former all star and it didn't work out. With the second year of his contract not being guaranteed, it was actually a pretty safe bet.
I wouldn't mind taking a shot on a talent like Oden at all for the right price.
