and which flavor of 'hard candy' you should put out on the coffee table

I also burned down an apartment boiling water, so I tend to stay out of the kitchen at all costs

Good idea.

And I keep all my candy in the windowless van for the kiddies. Duh.

Nothing beats the natty burger. Throw some hamburger beef in a frying pan. Dump natural light in there and fry it up. Next to it fry some bacon (make sure you start this first). Midway through the bacon is done. Dump the bacon grease on the half cooked burger.

Disclaimer: only do this about once or twice a month. This could cause a heart attack.

Anyone get down with Mama Sita's barbecue marinade? I deribbed some chicken quarters and have them drinking up sweet and salty Philippine goodness right now...

If I wanted to eat a burger fried in piss, I would have dunked it on the toilet.

Also, frying a steak or meat is a sin.

I half seriously said i wanted a wok while we were strolling through Bed, Bath and Beyond...so my wife got me one for Christmas. It's never been used and now she's giving me grief. Anyone have any killer recipes that are also easy?

Got my (now) fiancee a wok a while ago. She's a pretty damn good cook, and I know she uses it a ton for stir-fry.

Do you like Tai food?

We begged our mother for a Wok, when we were younger, we got one, and it sat in the basement for years. I have no idea what happened to it. I wouldn't even know what to cook in one, now.

I would like a pasta maker, and make my own pasta. Although I know this is a heavy commitment, that I don't think I'm ready to make. I don't want to buy one, and then have it sit there, forever.

I was thinking of making my puffed french toast, this weekend, and see if I can add heavy whipping cream to the recipe (as the recipe I have, doesn't call for it). This is all so fattening, and delicious.

Buy some sesame oil, some sesame seeds, and soy sauce. Go with a three dollar bag of brown rice as well. These are the staples for making pretty much anything with the wok.

Buy fresh ginger, a head of fresh garlic, and fresh green onions.

Now buy pretty much any kind of meat and pretty much any kind of vegetables. *EDIT* when cooking in an Asian style, you chop everything up into bite sized chunks or strips. Whichever protein or veggie you pick, pretend you bought your dish at a Chinese restaurant when chopping.

Put one and a half cups of water in a pot with a firm sealing lid. Once its boiling add one cup of brown rice. Turn the stove top down to low, cover and forget about it for a half hour.

Start with two tablespoons of sesame oil in a hot wok. Chop up a clove or two of garlic, the white part of the green onion, and an inch of the garlic root. *EDIT* cook these in the hot sesame oil until they are a little translucent. If it burns, start over. Classy folk peel the ginger, but its not that important. After one minute, add the meat until its brown. Then, add the veggies, stirring with a wooden spoon like a madman until the veggies are cooked through.

Top it with the green part of the onion, some glugs of soy sauce, and sesame seeds. Open up your brown rice lid and let it cool for a few minutes. You just made pretty much every Asian cuisine ever, congratulations.

I'm having chest pains just reading that recipe.

Good Lord.
