I've never really paid much attention to this site, but they had this blurb:

Lebron James was here in Vegas with a large entourage, taped off by yellow police tape as the New York-New Jersey game was going on. Word here is that Lebron was doing some scouting of his own…checking out New York’s future and maybe seeing how he might fit in there….

Don't believe it. It's just a bunch of bull. They'll do anything to make LeBron leave Cleveland and go to a big market city. But he's from Ohio, loves playing for Cleveland. Why would he leave? There's no reason for him to.

DraftExpress is a great site for scouting reports and such. But I wouldnt listen any of that. It was most likely just speculation. Why would you go to a summer league game to scout a team's future and how he would fit? Most of the people on the rosters wont be on the real team, so how is he gonna see how he fits by watching a bunch of NBDL and overseas players? Maybe he just happened to be in the area and felt like watching a game. Or maybe one of his good friends with some of the players there and just wanted to see them. I think the Nets have a guy from Ohio State on their SL roster, maybe LBJ is friends with him, being from the same area. Who knows?

Or maybe's he's doing scouting for the Cavs? There could be some players on other summer league teams that the Cavs have some interest in, and sent LeBron to check them out.

He coulda been there for any reason.

Yeah, and LeBron went to the Detroit and Spurs game to see how he would fit into their system as well.

:thumbdown

Whenever Lebron is seen out in public, wherever that may be, the media will twist it into somehow meaning Lebron wants to go to the knicks. If he goes into Tower City and is seen eating a hamburger, it's because he was there for a secret meeting with one of Isiah Thomas's henchmen to see what it would take to get him in NY.

Does anyone in the media ever think to realize that the Cavs can offer a better and higher contract than any other team in the league to keep him in Cleveland ? The only way that Lebron leaves is if Cleveland is blown away with a sign and trade ofdfer they can't refuse, and that would have to be the Cavs option, not Lebron's.

I don't think LeBron is scouting if he cared so deeply about Scouting he would have went to dinner and assured that we got Redd. He likes to have input but when it comes to doing it he'd rather chill the the roc-a-fella faggots.

Don't worry about this.. We will get this a lot with people saying that LeBron is checking out another team. This is what happens when you have one of the greatest NBA players on your team at such a young age.

Note
" ... " = Contemplation.

"Word is" Where from?

"maybe"

"might"

Words of speculation. Nothing more. Just some New York hopefuls.

I couldn't believe it when my friend from NYK said that Clevelanders are naive to think that LeBron is staying in Cleveland. Just plain silly. He said that everywhere else is a bigger market and he'll leave. But if you guys remember, when LeBron made his first appearance at the MSG, there was a 3-story poster of him, welcoming him. Nothing on the Knicks, just LeBron. So, he should know by now that his fame is already surpassing any other and it will follow him wherever he is, no matter where he's playing or where he lives. I mean, comon, the whole world knows who he is, he doesn't need New York or Los Angeles to get his name out.

He's friends with future Nets owner Jay Z right? Maybe he was there for that? :)

draftexpress has great scouting reports but beyond that I won't trust their league reporting. After all in the same article they say we're going after Antonio Daniels which doesn't make any sense now that Hughes is on board

I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THEM BEFORE....

i imagine LeBRON was just there on strictly business--- gamble, drink, pick up a lady of the evening, stay in the PALMS .. you know, the things you do in vegas.

if i was the nba, i would be wondering what carmelo has gotten himself into this off season...
