Sinclair failing and even this YouTube issue allow MLB to consolidate the TV revenue. To be honest, I don't see how a centralized TV contract wouldn't benefit everyone more than the current setup.
Think about the effect of a five or six team media revenue stream consolidated to create a total equal to the Yankees or the Dodgers.. instead of each individual market attempting to work out the best deal on their own.. We've all see the results of the Dolan's Media revenue.. not very impressive.. A regional media revenue stream focused on Baseball (not like Sinclair) could double or triple each teams' media revenue and open up additional markets for "fun, exciting & entertaining" teams like the Guardians?..
