How to watch the Guardians on TV

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just canceled both Bally and MLBtv and got refunds after extended conversations with their customer support people.

I am a customer willing to pay to watch my teams and these morons have made it impossible. What brilliant business model does that follow, I wonder?

I guess it's YouTube highlights for the foreseeable future until these assholes figure it out.

Does anyone have contact info for the MLB head offices, and the Guardians front offices? I want to make sure they know and understand what they're doing to alienate their fan base.

What I don't get is why MLB.tv is blacking you out, that is just bizarre. MLB has dropped the ball by not having their streaming app available on all TVs. It's stupid my LG can't get the app.

I have their app on my tv and on my laptop, and I'm blacked out. Plus I had Bally's who can't show it on their app either. I will send an email at a minimum, unless I can figure out a more effective way to voice my displeasure.

I would absolutely email the Guardians about this, because the last time I sent them a complaint about the local radio station not airing a game, Curtis Danburg himself got back to me, so just know that your email will be read by higher ups within the front office.

MLB is a joke. I live roughly 4 hours away in Charleston, WV and the games are blacked out for me as well.

When I was in Indiana, I couldn't get the Reds, Cubs, White Soxs and Tigers since they were all blacked out. You could technically get all through cable there...

Problem is, we lost the help of the strongest voice against the blackouts... His name was Trevor Bauer. He actually was fighting against a lot of things MLB was doing and legitimately trying to get MLB to make it better for the fans plus called out Manfred and his group for stupid things they were doing. (There was a reason why they suspended him so long and it wasn't the violation only. Though don't reply to this part please since we don't need anymore talk about him).

Hopefully come the end of Ballys rights over the Guardians the MLB.tv will get full rights to them and Guardians will be exclusively on MLB.tv... At least that would make it able to be viewed by all. I will let you know in the week ish or two time frame if I can get games or not live. Cause if MLB doesn't fix the blackout issue with Cleveland then since they don't have a provider then they are just plain dumb.

They have already proven to be short sighted morons who simply don't care about giving their customers access to their product. And they wonder why they struggle with fan support.

I use a Spectrum login on the Bally app to watch the Cavs and Guardians games, seems to work just fine.

Yep, a cable login through the Bally app is different than Bally Sports +. Basically the only way buzzdog would be able to watch is to purchase a cable package that carries Bally Great Lakes. And then there are other people who are even more screwed that live far enough away that they can't get Bally Great Lakes through cable and are still blacked out on MLB.tv

@buzzdog I think your best hope is that Bally/Diamond goes under and MLB starts showing the games. MLB has claimed in that case that they will not blackout the broadcasts on MLB.tv (and I believe the games will be free for everyone on MLB.tv if that happens).

I think you're right, thanks for the feedback.

Essentially they're forcing me to go back to my cable (Armstrong) subscription to see the games. I got tired of paying the exorbitant rates Armstrong charged even though I kept them as my internet provider, as they own the fiber optic cable coming into my house in rural Ohio.

I guess I'll just need to do the math and see if I can go back to replacing my streaming subscriptions (Sling, etc.) with a minimal Armstrong subscription if I want to see the Guardians when I'm in Ohio. It sucks, feels like extortion.

Sounds like they're trying to Strongarm you into Armstrong
