I don't think they are using basic stats like yards, completion percentage, etc. I think they use more complex stats, probably some that they have to score themselves by breaking down tape.
There was a point during this game when I stopped and thought to myself that if this were any of our previous three head coaches this game would have been over in the first quarter. There wouldn't have been any notable young players out there actually getting better.
Hue and this staff are doing a great job so far this season all things considered.
Just watched Hue's press conference after the game. The media kept giving him opportunities to blame Parkey for the loss, but he completely owned up to it and took full responsibility. Obviously we're a long way away and we need an influx of talent badly, but I'm more confident after 3 games that Hue is the right man for the job than I was when he was hired.
Oh there's no way he plays for us next week, but it says a lot about him that he wouldn't put any blame on him. Compare that to someone like Jay Gruden who would probably throw his own brother under the bus to escape criticism. He might not have said it publicly because Hue is a class act, but when Parkey is cut this week, we will know what he really thought.

I was making a joke, but I will say I love Hue more and more each week. Very innovative, we had no business being in this game and we should have won it. The way he used Pryor, young players are getting better.
We traded away or cut allot of our vet talent, got rid of 3 of our last 5 1st rounders and then had our top 2 qb's and top 2 rookies and our defensive leader all hurt this week and somehow we take the game to OT even with 3 fg's missed under 50 yards?
Give this man 2 or 3 more years and we will have a contender. I do believe that.
Doesn't take a genius to realize what Wentz has the potential to be.
If you need to wait a few more games, that's your perogative I suppose.
Kid is a baller.
I don't disagree, I just don't get the point of view some people in this thread have.
If you look at the bust rate of QB's, what are the percentages you even place on a trade like that? Very, very few teams have had success flushing a handful of really valuable draft assets for a QB. The RGIII trade was an absolute disaster. The Jags traded in to the top 10 to select Gabbert. The Jets in to the top 5 to select Sanchez. The Broncos moved to 11 to take Cutler. Etc, etc, etc. There really aren't any instances I could find where trading higher in the 1st round netted someone a franchise QB in the last 10 or so drafts.
There's no doubt it is really frustrating to see Wentz pan out but Cleveland was in a spot where a lot of teams have made terrible decisions. Instead of reaching for a QB they didn't 100% believe in, they opted to take the much higher percentage play of trading down.
They may ultimately be wrong on Wentz but I don't really see how the trade was poorly executed. They got great value, now they are tasked with making good selections. People will surely go on the "only the QB matters" rant but I will personally reserve my judgement for at least another draft here. The Browns seem primed for a #1 overall QB and have a ton of other assets to fill in holes around him. The selections they have made have looked promising and given how young and inexperienced the team is, Hue seems like he knows what he is doing.
This is the first time in a long time where I don't feel like the coach and FO are clueless, so am I drinking too much kool-aid or is the frustration just boiling over for some watching Wentz?
¯\_(ツ)_/¯I have no issue with the value they received in the trade or the picks they've made after acquiring them.
But the fact they took a HARD look at Wentz and walked away thinking he wasn't that good is concerning, and while the QB isn't the only thing that matters it would sure as hell go a long way to fixing some of the other issues on this team.
