Marte needs to pick it up..his stats are a lot like those of Thome's when he first came up...but slightly better..

The Yankees don't get it...their pitching suckiness far outweighs their sluggers..I love when they overpay for some star and he comes in and is below average.

A-Rod can't miss right now. 14 HR's is insane this early in the season. He still has plenty of games to break that record (Pujols).

I hate to say it because Casey's generally a nice guy and he's so versatile it's crazy, but the man cannot hit a baseball. Maybe tennis, he could take a whack at golf where the ball isn't moving, but not baseball.

I want him on this roster as a superutility player who CAN put some pop into the ball, but Casey ever playing over Garko is just something that shouldn't happen. He can split with Nixon and Choo in RF for his arm, but that's about it.

Your pitching sucks...it doesn't matter if he hits 10 homers in a game you still have to give the ball to some middle reliever that was pitching Single A ball last year in Wyoming because your farm system is dryer than a bone.

But at the deadline you'll probably add the top HR hitter from the National League and wonder why you get rocked from the playoffs in 4 games by the Kansas City Royals or some other unheard of Wildcard team.

Then we can all order the ESPN Cell phone so we'll know the exact second that ol' Georgie forgives Torre and we can all continue our everyday lives.

^Basically. A-Rod has been and always will be an indivdual player, why he doesnt try to be more of a team player and leader like Jeter is beyond me. But i guess as long as he puts up his personal stats, being last in the division doesnt really matter.

I guess Borowski's gift in Game 3 of that series really helped the Yanks. Since then they are 0-5 and in last place. And we are 5-1 and in first. :chuckles:
