Good signing for a very good price. People were talking about Kipnis making 8+ M in the market. The Tribe got a better player for less
I’d be surprised at this point if Kip ends up receiving anything other than a non roster invite.

Kip was better than Shaw in a sense last season, he should get a major league deal but more in the 5 mil range. Though his market is really small so he’s gonna have to take whatever offer there is soon otherwise he may be an NRI with incentives and an opt out

Multiple people on this site said he would get 8M+ per the market.

I am a little surprised they didn’t offer him a 1 year deal for 1-2 M; he was a good locker room guy.

But this signing is very good for the Indians- an upgrade. It’s positive they are moving to fill holes with their excess money.

Kip was for sure better than Shaw last year. But the upside is still there with Shaw- .800+ OPS and 30+ HR in 2017 and 2018

Kip’s age, decline, and this being a strong 2B class is going to make this a tough market for him

I think Kip will get an MLB deal but yeah it’s not going to be as predicted money wise. I wonder what his camp was trying to get?
